    i think they're pretty much the same, no one has shown me otherwise, that's why i asked for an example. and i can see if your buddies are using one platform that it would be easier to go with the flow vs converting back and forth.

    use your wife's 6mm for matches, bench etc. then get a 300 for hunting if elk is in the future. 7prc would work nice too and with all the buzz there's a decent amount of ammo out there for it.

    look on hornady's site for velocity and energy for 6.5cm v 6.5 prc. the prc gets you approx 10% more muzzle velocity. as noted above, approx another 200yds to stay above 1500ft-lbs of energy. obviously the tradeoff is more recoil and shorter barrel life. but of the 2 i'd pick the 6.5prc just...

    Tracking deer with no blood

    take a dog. i arrowed a nice buck in my yard a while back at last light. lost the blood trail. brought out my golden retriever (never hunted, just a pet) and he found him a couple hundred yards away dead in a creek bed. he had doubled back from his initial direction.
