    i asked them to add a FFL near me to their system so i could buy a rifle and have it shipped to nearby me. they flat our refused, saying they already had a FFL near me in their system. I pleaded that the one I wanted had nicer employees, lower transfer fees and better hours but they still refused.

    you'll need to make sure the bolt face is the same. look thru the tikka page at jaoutdoors.com, also probably in this thread somewhere. then you just get the correct (internal) length magazine and bolt stop, if necessary.

    Tikka action wrench and barrel vise for rent?

    you should be able to get by with a shop/machine/wood vise, something that will apply enough pressure to keep the barrel from spinning. the key is that you want to secure it on the shank which is only a few inches long, and not on the carbon.
