    FBI Sniper Rifles

I can only speak of the 40’s S&W that were issued at the time. Roller issues, frame, stop pins. Those are what I recall stopped some of the guns. Now they were well used before I got there, but the existing staff was unfortunately wary of them. So many 9mm guns that ran forever, the 40...

Night Vision Helmets! Helmets everywhere! Which is best for NODs?

Well, go up a few posts and read. But it looks like no one has one here. Not being an ass, but it’s been asked in the thread and no one has a full answer other that what’s already been said in post #122.

    FBI Sniper Rifles

And they broke all the time if they were like the 40 S&W MP5’s

    Subforums format

Well, lowlight that does work. It’s simply a little less intuitive, however that’s not a complaint. You put a ton of time, etc into this so thanks for what you do.

    Subforums format

Unfortunately that does not work for me. Using IOS I have to go through the filter to get the new sub forum.

    Advice on spotting scopes

Honestly you do not “need” it. Most of them don’t have a reticle. Now, for certain things it’s quite useful. Until you get much further into this, or frankly start shooting in a shooter / spotter pair it’s not needed. Even then I’ve done it without the reticle.

    Advice on spotting scopes

If that’s the case, decide if you want a reticle or not and buy that one. You cannot really go wrong with either. There will always be something better but for that budget those are solid contenders.

CR2 Shooting Solutions - What is the Standard ?

I’ve not listened to the podcast yet. I will say however if it’s a standard, then things like unknown distance, etc should be discarded. Those are variable skills regardless if we reticle ranging or use a laser. Again a standard is something that can be easily replicated anywhere, and...

    Advice on spotting scopes

Agreed, I have a Mk4 with a TMR that I really like. I’ve only looked through a Kowa a few times but I’d like to try one more. But in the end Big Joe asked for something cheaper. Cheaper in spotting scopes is hard to determine without a $ figure he’s willing to spend. But since he mentioned...

    Advice on spotting scopes

Legend T discussion Of the two you listed, I’ve used the Bushnell and I currently have the Diamondback. Both will be fine, but I think the clarity is better on the Vortex. If your set on the reticle then it’s not much of a discussion. However on a budget I’d say get the Vortex.

Anyone Have Issues with Forster Dies?

As Spife noted a few posts up, get in touch with them. They are indeed known to fix issues. Spife stated they sent him new seating stems.

Anyone Have Issues with Forster Dies?

As noted, Forster will make it right.

    Range noise suppression

Agreed, and unfortunately I see just what you pointed out getting worse. It seems so many people will stand there and exclaim they have rights, when a simple conversation would have likely solved it. Diplomacy is becoming a lost thought.

Bushnell Legend T Series 15-45x60 FFP

I do not own one, but used one in a work situation last year. It’s a good enough spotter, especially given the price point. I feel the slight issue with the rubber piece is nothing more than annoyance. I have a Vortex Diamondback that has the same slipping rubber sleeve issue. Really, I’d...

    Range noise suppression

Are your shooting steel or paper targets? There is an incident I’m aware of where it was less about the shooting and more about the impact noise. Just a thought.

    Folding stocks, why?

In my case, no pun intended, it lets me leave the can on the rifle, and still get it into the pack.

Training Courses Interest in a class with Frank at MSCA in Lewistown, PA for 2021

I’m down as a maybe. I’ve been there for a Black Hat class, it’s an interesting range. I recall, and see on the website you cannot shoot before 1pm on Sunday. That and don’t drive like an ass up the really, really long driveway.

    Why are suppressors wrapped?

    That’s fine, you can disagree.
