    That's what I thought about 3 gun the first time I tried it, stand around for 45 minutes, then shoot for 30 seconds, rinse and repeat. :). Maybe if they started using smaller targets it would be more interesting, full size IPSC is easy at 100 yards with a pistol, with a rifle it isn't a challenge.

    I can push 155's faster than that but they don't have the BC of most 140 6.5 bullets.

    That would be 200 grains or better for a similar BC from what I could find quickly. Haven't seen a .308 case that drives a 200 grain bullet 2800fps.

    My 10 year old nephew was shooting the rams at 550 and watching them fall in the scope the first time he shot it, prone with a bipod and rear bag. .243 would be less and just like shooting the 6mm's.

    Tikka, all three of mine are nearly as smooth as my impact action. All shoot well, but that is as much on the shooter as the rifle. I have a bergara as well, I like the Tikka's better. I wouldn't buy a new remington rifle. Still have one savage and it is very accurate.

    Budget, a savage, mine is plenty accurate but it sits in a Manners stock that cost more than the rifle, all my 10/22's are capable of head shots at 100, CZ's are nice, love my Bergara B14r but it isn't light. Shoots great though.

    Just fine for targets farther away, not so good for .22's where you might be shooting a 1/4 inch target in a KYL at 35 yards or less.

    Nothing wrong with the manfrotto, look for a good deal, lots out there with little use on them. Gitzo would be a step up, RRS is top of the line and so is the cost.

    My howard leights are plenty loud, I usually turn them down. That's with foamies or custom plugs.
