Remington 700P or Savage 110 Precision recommendation?

So you don't like Manners, Mcmillan, greyboe, german gun stock, mesa XLR, KRG, Woox, PSE, MDT, bell and carlson, or boyds stocks, not to mention a few chassis options? I probably missed some in there. Never had an issue with the rifles I own, changed bolt handles, and disassembly isn't that...

Remington 700P or Savage 110 Precision recommendation?

Almost a 4 lb trigger, my tikka's are about 2 lbs, with a spring change it's less if you want it lower. All my tikka's have bottom metal that uses AICS mags. Manners, XLR chassis, German Gun Stock.

Remington 700P or Savage 110 Precision recommendation?

Like others have said, Tikka over those two, better factory trigger, smooth bolt, barrels can be on the slower side but are accurate. I have three Tikka's, one savage and no remingtons.

Is the aero precision SOLUS worth buying

I've got cases with 8 firings on them, my avg velocity for my 6.5 CM for the past several years is 2820.

Is the aero precision SOLUS worth buying

Yep, and I have Hornady 6.5 CM brass that has been reloaded several times and is still good. I have Lapua and ADG now but I'm not going to toss a 1000 pieces of brass because the internet says it's bad. :)

    Kicking my own ass

Shot match 22's as a kid, always like it when we have positional shooting in our centerfire matches.

    SK Long Range match

I'm guessing no sub one inch targets in that match. Just looked up rimfire challenge, you can use any 22 ammo as accuracy doesn't appear to be that important :). Farthest target is 35 yards with a minimum size of 8 inches. Finally a use for the tub of golden bullets.

    Fierce Fury

Wouldn't touch one after their 7PRC hunt demo on the new caliber.

Rebarel Tikka 223 into something fun?

I've taken several off, couple whacks with a mallet does the trick.

Thoughts on the Aero Precision SOLUS ?

Can't remember Terry Cross talking shit online, he probably has forgotten more than the majority of us on here know about building rifles and precision shooting.

Burris Customer Services at its worst, please help/advise. (UPDATE: 09DEC23)

This is the kind of customer service that goes viral, and not in a good way for the company.

Balancing Bergara B-14R in KRG X-Ray or MDT XRS

I don't have the stock anymore, gave it to a friend who is buying a barreled action. Mine is in an MPA chassis now. Holes with a drill or a groove with a router and some lead shot with epoxy would work to add weight.

Balancing Bergara B-14R in KRG X-Ray or MDT XRS

I used an Area 419 rail, I don't remember if I drilled another hole, I probably did. I thought it balanced fine with an atlas bipod on it. There's a photo of it in a painting thread. https://www.snipershide.com/shooting/threads/to-paint-or-not-to-paint.7167186/#post-10815284 You could also...

    New Optic

I've heard that, but the XTRIII's are much better so I'd spend the difference for them.

Balancing Bergara B-14R in KRG X-Ray or MDT XRS

I added an arca rail to my factory stock, easy enough to add weight on the rail. It's in an MPA chassis now, balances right in front of the mag well without any weight.

    New Optic

Wouldn't get the XTRII, glass in the one I had was terrible, I have a couple of the XTR III's and they're great. For hunting I prefer the SCR reticle not the SCR2, it's pretty small at lower magnifications. I also have the 3.3-18 SCR on a hunting setup. The 5.5-30 SCR2 on a match rifle.

Suggestions please… PRS rifle for youth they won’t outgrow

Plenty of good suggestions, I'd also suggest a .22 LR for PRS type practice. Much cheaper way to practice finding targets, movement between shooting positions and building a solid base on props, rocks, etc... Easy to set up too as 250 yards is plenty for practice, even a hundred yard range...
