    I'd build again, only ruger part on the three of mine is the trigger which has been worked on, put a kidd trigger in it and I'm sure it's as good as a kidd. All three I put together will shoot one hole 10 shot groups at 25 with CCK SV. Out at 50 there's always one that sticks out a bit.

    I have a red snake tactical BM, it's well made. That being said I'll be using waters mags in his BM or another factory sized option. They aren't cheap but the fed better than the AICS option for me. I've got a red snake BM that I don't need, only been installed for testing feeding.

    I don't have a good suggestion for a factory rifle, I'd suggest Tikka but they're not really a long action and you'd want more room. That being said 300 WM is an odd choice, most these days are shooting a variety of 6mm. 6 BR, 6GT, etc.... Next most popular I'd guess would be a 6.5. The 6MM...

    I've got a couple of the WSM mags for a 7 saum and 6.5 PRC. I bought a couple to try with his bottom metal to use the MDT 3.56 AICS mags. Also bought the red snake tactical BM to try with full size mags. The waters mags feed the best out of those three options.

    Unless you want something really specific, krylon and sponges, you can use stencils too. She can pick her own colors and pattern. There's several threads, search is your friend.

    That's what I thought when I bought hornady 6.5 CM loaded rounds with the 140 hpbt for about fifty cents a round years ago. Bought 1000 rounds, used it for the gasser and when I took friends out. That won't ever happen again. :)

    It isn't 12x but it's close, 2.5-15. I have one on my air rifle, it's a decent scope and I like the Athlon reticles. The cross makes a better hunting reticle than the dot IMO. I have both, I like the dot on my Cronus

    I'll still take a scope with nice turrets and an FFP reticle along with a rangefinder over one of these every day of the week. Wouldn't use one if someone gave it to me.

    Loking at the website I'd guess 1.5-2 lbs. Cost vs weight is up to you, guess it depends on how thick your wallet is..... Carbon is cool, also nice on your hands in the cold compared to aluminum.

    First two savage barrels I changed out on my counter with my hands and a wrench for the barrel nut. :) I still have one of my savages, very accurate, just not as nice as an Impact or even close to a tikka.

    You can usually figure 25-50 fps for each inch of reduction. I'd think you'd still have enough velocity as long as you don't shoot a long ways out.

    Or buy the parts and put is together yourself. And you're going to have a far better rifle at that price.

    H4350 and RL 16 are what I've used, I get a little more speed with the RL 16. No issues shooting matches when it's 100 degrees.

    Yep, you can easily make a mile with a 6.5 CM and not have as much recoil or cost of reloading. I wouldn't bother with the .300 PRC for targets unless I was shooting a mile regularly.
