Typical thickness of a M-LOK handguard?

Be mindful when choosing rail covers, I do know that the Vision Hybrid is to thick for Magpul Type II covers to work. Anything with the tnut set would be ok though.

Ace barrels vs the rest bartlein brux ect...

Awesome! That 24 range on the Varget must be magic, I'm at 24 even with the 80 smk, 24" Hawk Hill barrel from Blue Mountain Precision. Using LC04 cases though.

Alternative choice to push-button sling loops on bolt guns?

I don't use them but back in the "early days" seemed like every Tom, Dick and Harry with an "M4" and Royal Robin, etc. pants used those wholesale when single point slings were really popular. Real HK hooks are good, a lot of places would use knock offs, giving HK ones a bad rap. Kind of...

Alternative choice to push-button sling loops on bolt guns?

Reference the dog leash-better named snaps, popular with the single point bungee slings. On the Mash Hooks, they separate under hard use, like a key ring and it then eventually "unthreads" from the weapon mount.

    Geissele SD optic choice-??

The gun, Kahles 1-6 scope and G mount on the way, EuroOptic does it again.

Alternative choice to push-button sling loops on bolt guns?

Referencing sling attachments, I lost track of how many carbines spiked the ground with either the "dog leash" snaps or the Mash hooks. The dog leash snaps simply lacked the spring tension and the Mash hooks would open up after a while, allowing them to "unthread" themselves from the attachment...

Alternative choice to push-button sling loops on bolt guns?

The Magpul Para Clips are pretty stout and easy on/off, the Uloops would make it fairly easy, technically not needing anything other than a hole. (that's what she said anyhow)

    Geissele SD optic choice-??

Should be picking one(HB model) up soon and thinking on an optic, what am I using it for? Nothing really other than having some fun when/while I can at the range, mainly at 100-300/paper/steel(300)positional and potentially 600 assuming I can hit a 5" plate 5 times in a row at 300. Obviously not...

Canadian Ranger rifles in the Arctic need replacements, don’t work in the cold

Guess a temp tolerant synthetic or Aluminum with the appropriate cheekpiece-we know they will most likely have gloves on, one would hope if it's that cold to need protection from the aluminum front end. I haven't experienced cold like that up there, I grew up upstate NY, not as cold but close...

Canadian Ranger rifles in the Arctic need replacements, don’t work in the cold

So, technical question here-are these pillar bedded via the magazine housing only or with a combination of pillars? If so, when torqued into together is the shrinking or expansion of the laminate enough to cause loosening of the screws or cracking of the stock, magazine housing etc? Wouldn't...

Canadian Ranger rifles in the Arctic need replacements, don’t work in the cold

Pretty sure you are correct on this, licensed to be manufactured in Canada. One would think it would be made to the same specs but you never know. For instance, what if the stocks are being manufactured in Canada and some regulation required a different adhesive for the laminate? Just a...
