Ideal .223 Bolt Action Plinker (?)

Just saw this as I think I'm finally going to do a 16" .223 in the Screech Owl with an Origin action. But for you with the RAR. https://jtacindustries.com/ruger-american/

Ideal .223 Bolt Action Plinker (?)

For money spent, the Ruger Ranch would be a good choice, scope it and have fun. If you plan to start f'ing with it, then look at something like the Tikka. Big thing is, decide what you want and don't try to make something it's not. Example being buying the Ruger and spending 1500 or so with a...

Is it Easier to Shoot Sub MOA Further Out?

Do you drink anything while shooting?

Indeed, I'm usually outside a bunch in SW Florida, yard work, shooting, fishing, etc. I always laugh at these fat fucks that can barely make it from their AC into a building without keeling over--but they have that grunt works, whatever shirt!

    Contact Cleaner

You are fine, How dirty are we getting this trigger? I would simply add lube to contact points, excess may weep out the pin holes. Maybe once a year, pop out the FCG, rinse with x spray and re lube. If running suppressed and a lot of rounds, do the same

Do you drink anything while shooting?

Simply stay hydrated, most folks can stay with water, try to avoid soda, etc. The Liquid IV, they have a sugar free one and others are ok, if you can get your hands on Cerasport, that's the ticket. Usually one water, one xx drink rotation is a good idea-don't get behind, know your limits folks...

    Vision Covert Chassis Feedback

Not bad for it's intended use, light, compact and options for a stock of choice. I had one for a Tikka, the problem was with the magazine latch. Instead of using a cross pin to hold the latch/spring in, they used two small opposing set screws in which loosened required the action being removed...
