Remington 9 1/2 LR Primer Trouble for 22-250

maybe you must ''swage'' primer pocket, not ream. if your reamer will only ream bottom of the primer pocket, than this mybe is not enough for easier priming. and my primer pockets in 284WIN are so tight, that I can barely put my K&M primer pocket reamer into primer pocket hole !

6mm Creedmoor H4350 Large Rifle Magnum Primers load data

velocity gian will be anywhere from ~ -30fps to ~ +30 fps to non-magnum primer. ES/SD depend of your primer-powder combination, powder weight and other components.

Remington 9 1/2 LR Primer Trouble for 22-250

which brass? I have problems with peterson brass and european primers. very very tough to seat primers - I broke lee bench priming tool (plastic part). american primers were better. use those primers when primer pockets get loose.

    RCBS Chargemaster vs Autotrickler V3

thank you for your research. with what scale did you check those Chargemaster powder throws? But like you write, Chargemaster is by default 0.1gr accurate. cant be any way around. so your throws are at least 0.1gr apart. so +/-2 or 3 kernels of powder. 0.1gr scale cant do better. but A&D...

    Reloading startup?

primers and primer pockets are funny thing too. because not all are the same. I got peterson brass which has got very tight pocket for european primers. and I got some primers which were very inconsistent at seating force. so all in all; you can extend your primer pocket life with different...

AMP really worth the extra $$$$$$

is this a joke? AMP press with those curves which are totaly useless and nobody, I mean REALY NOBODY doesnt look at them anymore !! because they mean NOTHING! just like your super expensive priming tool and your primer seating depth testings, but in reality your tool is the most inconsistent...

    Scale questions

in your system you dont know how EXACTLY weight your check weight, and like Doom says; RCBS 0.1gr scales are -/+0.05gr = 0.1gr difference within 2 charges when your scale shows SAME value. for mechanic scale like M500 you dont know how linear it is from 0gr to your mass... another problem but...

    RCBS Chargemaster vs Autotrickler V3

you can't just put those numbers in calculator and calculate the difference. those low and high impacting bullets fly at different angle, have different BC, shooter made different error... and at the end, they have different velocity. so a lot of errors, which can also terminate itself. like...

    Ruag #5341 Large Rifle Primers

RUAG are european primers, so this means that they are far better than american shit. they are very very mild.

Do Primer Seating Methods Affect Performance?

Bryan, I follow your testings on YT, and I'm wondering how your technic for reloading and brass prepp is changing now after all those testings ? and how much your group shink after all that work?

Is there any ball powder that is as temp stable as Varget?

faster than varget is only good thing for 223REM, because varget is very slow powder for 223. it is very flexible because of old school design and big energy content, but for lighter bullets in 223 is quite slow... and it has very big kernels, so it meters very bad.

    95smk Stability question

a lot of f-class / long range boys run those bullets in 1:7 twist in 223REM with 30'+ barrels. with no problems.

Is there any ball powder that is as temp stable as Varget?

forget about those charts. every powder's temperature behavior / sensitivity is cartridge dependent. probably it's better to put powders in 3 classes: very sensitive, middle sensitive, low sensitive... imho

Do Primer Seating Methods Affect Performance?

f-class boys are now priming on a dillon, so probably they are not worried about those things...

How Many Reloads for Peterson 6.5 CM Brass?

i'm on 8× firing in 284WIN, but primer pockets are still too tight to uniform them with K&M tool...

    SAC APS seater die?

funny when you mention those overpriced equipement... 2 years ago EVERYBODY want to have AMP press and see those graphs to load ''better'' ammo. guess what happened? nobody understand those meaningless graphs and now everybody seat on a Dillon... 2 years ago EVERYBODY want to have CPL primer...

    .223 velocities with Berger 85.5s?

I would say that 2850 fps is for 26' barrel AND properly long freebore AND proper powder ''normal'' ''hot'' round with 85.5gr Berger in 223REM... It can be tolerable.

Problems with calibrating (FL sizing) the base of the 223REM Lapua brass 6× and 15× fired

those marks were made by me at 0.262'' height (in the middle of Whidden 'section' 'mark'), for 'accurate' measurement of diameter of both brass. 🫠
