    Good points. I now will be on the lookout for less expensive brass. As I mentioned, I'll still have to turn the necks due to my insistence on a tighter chamber than the 'smith recommended. Lesson learned. Cheers, Richard

    I haven't had to use a small base die in the AR-10; I do have to run the cases through a body die after about two firings to nudge the shoulder back. I have to do that with my bolt rifles, too. Concerning staying with mid-pressure loads, I'd love to, but it makes hitting the 1200-yard targets...

    I didn't mean to imply that I was using the same brass in both bolt rifles and the AR. I just meant that since I had been using Lapua in my custom bolt rifles, I automatically used Lapua brand brass in the custom-built AR-10. It apparently was overkill. Cheers, Richard

    In the unlikely event that you get somewhere closer to Laramie, WY, hit me up for pistol primers. BTW, on one of the Dillon equipment forums, I read a few reports of primer feed problems with the new 750. I suspect this is a minority, but it means I'll stick with my 650 until Dillon comes up...

    I thought you said you were loading a 110-gr bullet. The only other .308 ones of which I'm aware are pointed and, I would think, would extend into the case too far if you were loading to magazine length. That's the problem with loading them into .30 Carbine, unless you single-load. Thank you...

    Oh, good. That means my dad wasn't under attack when he got his Purple Heart on Okinawa. My shipmate wasn't under attack when the radioman next to him caught a large caliber to the head. Sheesh! Where do these idiots come from? I regret that my grandchildren will have to put up with this shit.
