Gun Clubs Today: Is this a normal practice?

I think it all depends on whether you want to belong to a shooting club run for and by the members, or just belong to a range where you just pay and shoot with no expectation to help. Pretty much every shooting club I have belonged to has the same small core of members who give their own time...

Coming to a country near you?

New Zealand 'codifies forced injections' in martial law ‘Pandemic Plan? Alarmist 'Chicken Little' conspiracy bullshit. The writer of Armageddon Prose is an idiot who has added two and two and come up with five and a half. Just because the police have the power to do stuff, and to use force to...

You don’t see flat spins in commercial aircraft that often……

I flew in an ATR 72 on Friday morning and then again this morning (Sunday here). Didn't notice any flat spins either to going to or coming from Palmerston North. Must have happened while I was reading my book, because I would have noticed when I was looking out the window. But then Air New...

Why The Shock Over The Paris Olympics?

No idea. I didn't watch it.

    Another Parker Hale Suppressor

I picked up another Parker Hale .22 suppresser from an online auction site last week. It was only $50 NZ (about $30 US) so, even though I don't need it, I brought it. I went and picked it up from the guy's house yesterday. He was only about 15 minutes from my house. Very light use, but still...

Why The Shock Over The Paris Olympics?

Yeah. I'm sure the organising committee of the whole Olympic Games micromanaged and knew about every little part of the games, from the order of the sports, the menus, to the TV coverage, the venues, athlete's accommodation, including every little part of the opening, instead of delegating parts...

Why The Shock Over The Paris Olympics?

Well, Thomas Jolly, the artistic director for the ceremony, told French news channel BFM TV on Sunday that the inspiration for that scene was the Greek god Dionysus. And I believe the person who actually designed the ceremony, over what anyone else says about the design of the ceremony.

Why The Shock Over The Paris Olympics?

I find it funny that all the Christian God-bothers got so offended about what they thought was supposed to be the last supper, when it was actually the Greek God Dionysus who arrives on the table. He is there because he is the god of celebration in Greek mythology. You know, one of the gods...

    CO2 extinguisher?

You are right on the 'no time to react' for a powder or primer fire, but you still need an extinguisher to put out the burning reloading bench and all the stuff on it that caught fire from the powder burning. CO2 makes a lot less mess than dry powder does and won't wreck everything like dry...

Movie Theater A Fish Called Wanda

Wanda: "Aristotle was not Belgian, the principle of Buddhism is not "every man for himself", and the London Underground is not a political movement. Those are all mistakes, Otto. I looked them up."

    Small varmint kills (the bastards!)

Took the S&W M&P15/22 for a shoot last weekend. I got 11 possums and three turkeys. Crap photo but shows one of the possums (Australian brush tailed possum - completely different to what you call a possum in the States.) Aimpoint Comp M4 with 3x magnifier and DPT suppressor. Cheap and...

    Small varmint kills (the bastards!)

At night it's more likely to be my 10/22 with an 4x Tasco scope and Parker Hale suppressor. I've shot hundreds and hundreds, maybe thousands of rabbits, magpies, hares, rats and possums with this rifle.

    Small varmint kills (the bastards!)

The Bergara B14 .22 works well on rabbits and magpies too. Vortex Strike Eagle scope and DPT suppressor.

    Small varmint kills (the bastards!)

I often use my Marlin 917 in .17HMR for rabbits and magpies during the day: Leupold Vari-XIII 4.5-14 and a Gunworks suppressor.

We can't call it a SA KNIFE any longer

If anyone had bothered to read anything other than the bullshit clickbait article in the first post, then they would realise that SAKs without blades is AN OPTION. They are not removing blades from all their knives. Just making some without blades for sale in countries where there are...
