Surprising neck tension test ... (at least it surprised me)

in my 223REM a few times I hadnt powder in the cartridge, and bullet NEVER moved. not for a single thou!

Surprising neck tension test ... (at least it surprised me)

ultimate device, which will tell you if there is some corelation between seating force and pull-out force: https://www.mecmesin.com/publications/bullet-extraction-and-seating-force-testing but this does NOT mean that this is corelated to velocity spread 🤡

I'll Post This Here - Hornady's Podcast #50. I thought it was one of their best, but some reloaders might not like what they see....

you are quite right and quite qrong. first of all, your 5-shot group can be on 'best' 5-shot group or 'worse' 5-shot group from your average 1/2 MOA rifle. you just dont know it, if you don't shoot more. but I agree, I would like to see 1/4 MOA 5-shot groups rather than 1/2. but picking a load...

after long years you just dont get it. when we talk about statistics, you talk about shooter ability and other nonsense... tuners work, that also Bryan Litz says. just for added weight on the barrel. but how they work is other question. tuner producers says that you should 'tune' your tuner by...

Forster Micrometer Seating Die Leaving Ring Around Bullet

if you have hornady, redding, whidden, wilson... seating die you can buy VLD seater stem. but not for forster...😤

    Load development at the range

your group will be the same as if you just pick a load with us. there is no such a thing like 'load developement' with 3 shots per group. this procedure is called waste of time and components. just load and shoot.

Forster Micrometer Seating Die Leaving Ring Around Bullet

hornady bullets are kind a soft. but when you will be grinding a seater, spin the seater, not sand paper.

sorry frank, but this is how ALL barrel producers are doing. so it's hard to believe that you don't do it that way.

What reloading equipment kits would you recommend for someone getting started at under $1000?

i throw powder charge with lee perfect powder measure and have less than 0.5 MOA group anytime. but my velocity SD is 15 fps in 223REM. if I would use ball powder, velocity spread will be even less. with lab scale versus good powder thrower (and ball powder) you will cut your velocity SD by...

of course they are skeptical. erik is 3-shot-group guru and seller of his tuners. and when bryan and hornady and all others prove with a lot of statistical data that this is lie and bulshit... 🤡

barrels are easy. some are bad, some are average, some are exelent, and some are the best. just like normal distribution. but remember for all time: best barrels goes to best shooters. not average joe, not average shipers hide member. only best shooters, which 'sell' those barrels by youtube...

if you are shooting short range or hunting, + or - 0,2gr does NOT matter, you cant see the difference on your target ! 0,02gr is ALWAYS possible with good balance beam scale, but it is pain in the ass.

Valid method for finding jam, Or just stupid?

i dont fucking care where the lands exactly are. and nobody does. but btw; i have hornady comparator, which is drilled to a little bigger hole. and now when I measure one bullet, the other has THE SAME ogive measurement. so with my modified comparator, i know quite well where the lands are!

well, I am sure that this was done way way before Grubbs. It's called statistics, and this mathematical discipline it's very old. but you are right about multiplication factors. but also we must be awear of one thing: ALL our groups, even 3-shot groups, follow statistics.;): so even...
