    Check that the gas key is tight on the BCG. If it' loose or a bolt is broken, it will cause the problem you describe.

    I've had 10 or so WO SPR barrels (Wilson blanks), some on my guns, some on guns I built for others. Every one has shot reliably into 3/4" with some load development. I'm tempted to say 1/2"-5/8" because that's what my personal barrels have delivered, but I can't speak to the ultimate accuracy...

    I have a TB .22 can and some other off brand .22 can. I honestly can't tell the difference in accuracy or sound. I agree with the poster above that it doesn't make much difference on a .22.

    I made my own from a sheet of 0.125" Kydex. Cheap and simple, and it worked great. I heated it in the oven and then draped it over the stock. I drilled holes through the stock and just bolted it on with carriage bolts and wing nuts.

    I have a 24" on a Bartlein blank. +2" gas. Paul Craddock did mine, not CL. If I had it to do over, I'd have CL do it. Mine injected copper through the gas tube so bad it would gunk up the BCG in 50-75 rounds. It took 1K rounds for that problem to solve itself which was very frustrating...

    Your question prompted me to remember that the heavy barrel has a +0.001 barrel extension and is a thermal fit. The light one is not. I’ve glued several barrels in recent years with no discernible effect. Couldn’t hurt to try it again, I suppose. The receiver face was already trued.
