Did this, thank you, they were quick to reply. They said you can buy the new WBR reticle with the shuriken locking turrets but need to special order it through a dealer and not all dealers may be able to accommodate. The FOV would make me a buyer if these can come close to keeping up with TT/ZCO...
.220 freebore is great for 180 hybrids, bullet will be well above the N/S junction. You'll be around 3.15 coal.
Lots of gunsmiths with these reamers unless you're turning your own barrel.
Research what Fclass shooters are using and duplicate them. 284, 7-6.5, 7 sherman, saum, 300wsm. Prcw is great. I wouldn't download a 7prc, unlikely to shoot well.
I'm shooting 7-6.5prcw in an AI ATX. .220 freebore. 168 Berger classic hunter gets to the lands at about 2.940 COAL. Perfect bullet for the long freebore 7-6.5. Very accurate bullet for me so far. This combo also keeps the base of the bullet above the neck/shoulder junction.
22" barrel, 57.7gr...

168 Berger classic hunter. 2.94'ish OAL keeps the bullet just above the neck-shoulder junction. Puts it .020 off the lands in my chamber which is a .220 FB. Super accurate for me so far. 2915fps with 57.7gr n555 from a 22" barrel. It's the perfect bullet for the 7-6.5 to mag feed.
Get the chargemaster and don't look back! It is actually probably overkill for your stated goals. It will get you started making great ammo and be a good backup scale someday if you ever decide to upgrade.
I've struggled to shoot super light rifles consistently, the ergonomics usually suck and they're not usually guns that you spend a lot of time shooting. I suck it up and hunt with a heavier rifle that I shoot very often and have a lot of confidence in. Ergonomics and fundamentals are the last...
I recently bought an FN PBR XP in 300wsm on a forum and discovered the barrel is terribly corroded inside. I'm looking for a take-off FN barrel in 300 wsm if anyone has one laying around.
Thanks in advance.
No... You can do it all on the gun very easily.
And levels aren't a crutch. They're pretty important if you're gonna hold-over at distance. If you're shooting from a flat surface and have a level horizon then it may not be that important.
I do it with the scope mounted to the rifle. That's because of the most important part of the process:
Once the reticle is perfectly level, you've gotta ensure that whatever bubble level you'll be using when shooting gets installed/leveled at this time. Reticle/bubble level relationship is most...
