Maggie’s THE "NOM NOM NOM" THREAD

Dude food friday… Made up 5# hot beef jerky in the dehydrator and 5# venison snak stix and a pizza fatty in the smoker. Tried something different using the jerky cannon with a long narrow nozzle as a stuffer for snak stix casings…….works real well although it is a little awkward to use. The...

    Maggie’s What's Your View II

I’ve run a vacuum into this dryer vent from both directions before but gave it a proper blowjob this morning. Holy shit….😳 When I made it from the laundry room to the backyard after turning the blower on there was a huge dust cloud hanging in the air. She should breathe a little better now.

    Israel/iran

Was holed up here at the house catching up on some reloading, had the Dish Network TV on for some background noise. The shameless fucks were running commercials for donations for Israel because they were being attacked by those big meanie Iranians. You’d have thought it was all one sided...

Weight difference between Bregara B14R steel and B14 Heavy?

Took mine to 100 today. Tenex and Lapua Midas both went under an inch for 10 shots. Didn’t try the SK Match, mirage was kicking my ass. I did find I want more magnification than the 15x I was using today.

Weight difference between Bregara B14R steel and B14 Heavy?

I had 2 loads Tenex and SK match put 5 shots into 3/8 at 50 first time out. I was just going from brand to brand not taking different lubes into consideration. I think mine will hammer when a brand is settled on and the barrel gets properly fouled.

Weight difference between Bregara B14R steel and B14 Heavy?

I only have one range session on mine. It showed some promise but I was only shooting at 50yds. Gonna try again tomorrow if the weather cooperates.

    Sometimes things…….

……….just really work as you want them to. Since the B14r heavy worked out so well I went further down the Bergara rabbit hole with this BMR. Have a particular use in mind and it’s doing exactly what I need it to do. Went ahead and did the factory trigger mod which is now set at 20oz. Bedded...

    Well gents……

Thanks guys….. I will miss some of the work, I very much enjoyed the big industrial stuff. I did far more mechanical work than the mundane piping. Trouble shooting, repairing then returning to service was satisfying. Won’t miss having to dress like this to do it though… No worries about going...

    Cleaning up the leade question….

Yeah, the picture leaves a lot to be desired… The rest of the bore looks real good. Only have about 100rnds on it. Talked with my smith and he’s going to give it a look. I trust his opinion. He’ll probably tell me to ditch the borescope…..lol

    Cleaning up the leade question….

I agree with both of your thoughts. I’m not one to obsess over less than perfect. I have a couple centerfire barrels that look like hammered dogshit but still shoot very well. I’d like to give this barrel it’s best chance to shine.

    Cleaning up the leade question….

I’ll go ahead and open myself to the seeming requisite to be ridiculed for using a bore scope. Get it out of your system, you’ll feel better…..😏 Have seen a couple posts about some rather shitty chambers produced by Bergara in the heavy barreled actions. After a couple positive range sessions I...
