    There may be some confusion here. I did have to file down the magazine catch release for the 300 WSM Accurate magazine to fit an MDT chassis. The problem was the catch release needed to be shorter, not longer.

    Ok, so really - ES/SD with Hornady brass?

    This. SD was cut in half when I sized, trimmed, and weight sorted. Weight does not correlate perfectly with volume, but it’s good enough. Better brass is a better solution, but weight sorting Hornady is a close second.

    No long action yet. They tell me they are going to see how the barrels for short action sell before adding long action. No bonus points for guessing who is waiting for a barrel for a long action. Great barrels at a great price.

    ADG Ramshot Hunter solved my problem. It worked well in a 300 WSM. I thought it might work in the 7 SAUM. It did. Something was seriously off with Magpro in QuickLOAD.

    ARC tells me the new lighter weight CDG will feed from Hawkins Hunter BDL. My action should be here in a week or two. We will see. My complaint with the original CDG was all the stock and bottom metal fitting issues. Nothing insurmountable, but annoying.

    SAUM Enough to do the job and dead easy to load for and shoot well. The bigger boomers deliver more energy but exploit every flaw in your marksmanship skills. This is reminiscent of the 30-06 versus .308 debates. Spoiler alert: .308 won.
