    Let's talk adjustable gas blocks...

the biggest issue I could see would be the spring loaded valve getting dirty. With a DI AR, the gasses aren't just air, it's got a lot of gunk in there as shown by the amount of cleaning needed in DI guns. How long would it take to make the valves inoperable? How easy would they be to clean...

    Suppressors Suppressor tumbler cleaning

FYI if you are going to tumble the cups or internals of your suppressors in stainless pins, make sure it's SS or TI, don't do this with aluminum parts. Or cerakoted/painted parts. I just tumbled the internals of my 22 Mask and they came out looking like new. I'm going to heat them tomorrow and...

    Nucleus Build Pictures

So it looks like mine will be coming together sooner rather than later. Have an MDT ACC folder in its way, and found a lightly used Nucleus action with an 18" 308 barrel (I just got a 26" PVA 6.5cm barrel so will keep the 308 as a spare or use it for training). Has both 16# and 19# springs. So...

    Short Action Question

Look at a few of the custom action makers and they will sometimes have a list of the bolt faces available for the short actions. Basically there's a 223, 6.8SPC/224V, 308 and magnum bolt faces available. Each bolt face could have a variety of chambering available (i.e. 308 bolt face is pretty...

    Nucleus Build Pictures

one big advantage for me is that I've learned a lot the past year or so of lurking on the hide and feel much more confident in getting all the parts I want to make one just the way I want it. Looking forward to moving forward and sharing knowledge in the future. FYI the barrel I ordered from...

    Nucleus Build Pictures

giving the thread a bump- slowly working towards an ARC Nucleus build. I had ordered a JH from PVA but put the deposit towards a 6.5CM barrel. That will arrive Saturday. I'm going to go with an MDT ACC chassis. I saw one in the thread, anyone else fit the Nucleus in an MDT ACC chassis and have...

Primer Ignition problem......I need more Heads to ponder

hunting rifle shooting sub moa and you don't plan to shoot it a lot? I'd stick with factory loads/ammo. Easy to find if you decide to go on a trip and a few boxes will last you a long time. not worth the time/effort to reload if you are getting that accuracy at the ranges you think you would shoot.

Primer Ignition problem......I need more Heads to ponder

But if you are resizing the "new" brass it would end up similar to once fired brass because of moving the shoulder back too much... I think...

What are your favorite 7.62x51 /.308 semi autos

PWS MK216. not the lightest, not the most accurate, not the more durable but pretty damn near the top of most categories. throw on a nicer barrel and a good trigger goes a long way towards upping the accuracy side.

Primer Ignition problem......I need more Heads to ponder

for sure seat the primers just below flush. My guess is you are using some of your firing pin energy to seat the primers to the bottom of the cup and it's not leaving enough force to ignite the primer. Check the factory loads, but typically the primers are just below flush and definitely never...

    Elf 700 SE trigger

I hadn't seen one for a R700 platform tilL I was in a local shop and he had one on a Voodoo rifle. Must admit it was pretty damn smooth. I haven't shot a lot of bolt guns yet but it was as good as anything I've played with recently as I look at triggers.

    PCC Options

That was my understanding of the rifles/pistols when I saw them- they have 3 or 4 versions of the lowers- one for compatibility with each of the magazines so you can choose the platform you want to stick with. Sig, Glock, MP5, Colt were the options if I remember right. 9, 40 and 45 options for...

    Magpul PRS vs. Luth-Ar

PRS is much heavier and more solid. Luth AR is lighter and has more adjustability. I have the Luth AR on my 308 AR and like the way it sets up.

    PCC Options

a friend has a Stribog that seems to be pretty solid. He loves his. Another has a CZ Scorpion I saw at a show recently some Quarter Circle 10 AR platform pistol caliber carbines. 9/40/45 versions and each available with different mag compatibility. Sig/Glock/Colt/MP5 versions of each. Seemed...

    Lanxang Tactical rifles reviews

I've shot the 308 version. Very smooth shooting and accurate. I have a PWS MK216 and easily on par with the PWS. Different operating systems, but overall, it's very hard to go wrong with the Lanxang rifles. I saw one of their 5.56 rifles at a local shop last week and it might be my next AR. Very...
