    I've had that discussion with Paul Craddock a couple of times. He agrees with your statement regarding accuracy & says that the accuracy life will be shorter though. I've borescoped the RC button barrels that I have & they look fine to my eyes Don't foul & shoot fine. Hard to ask for more. MM

    Easiest route, & you can still heat the upper if needed, which you probably will. I use a torch, as demonstrated in various videos, & don't be afraid to get it hot. 150 degrees is not enough; freezing the barrel may help but is not usually needed. MM
