    Pretty much what MSTN said. I deal with it commercially & it's been improved over the original versions & has a very low coefficient of friction, lower than chrome or black nitride, but like both of those it does not allow oil to penetrate as it has no real porosity nor crystalline structure...

    An 11.5" gun is anything but an "all purpose" gun, neither fish nor fowl. Step it up to a 14.5 & it might be considered all purpose, better yet a 16" So as to the barrel, as long as if functions, it really doesn't matter, IMO. MM

    Just curious why you would prefer that particular rail over an SLR Ion Lite or a Geiselle MK-14, for example, as they are both very slim, & have no real problems with most popular AGB's, & both have very good attachment systems. MM

    My thoughts are similar for a true SHTF rifle. 14.5" or similar is a home defense / vehicle in/out rifle; I'll take 16" or even a lightweight 18" instead. And much as I love Paul Craddock's barrels, stainless doesn't belong on a SHTF rifle for a working gun...............not a single major...

    Should have also said in my previous post that the SLR set screw version will work. Their clamp on version's screw heads do stick out a bit. The set screw version is noticeably sleeker. MM

    This will work. Cheap but holds up OK. Unless you want to set it & forget it, put a drop of high temp never seize on the adjustment screw thread & move it in & out occasionally. Fits under a Geiselle MK14 which is about as slim as it gets. MM...

    Do what is suggested above 1st. Then check headspace. If it's too tight for a go gague to close by hand, it may compress brass enough to chamber when clean & the bolt slams homes, but not when it begins to get dirty. You can try another bolt in your BCG but I've never seen a bolt out of spec...

    Reloading for a rifle with an adjustable gas block….

    Tune the rifle to the lightest load in your matrix to just lock back as normal. Depending on the range of loads, it maybe be OK or may need finè tuning as you go up in loads. I would not test loads in a mode not normal to the end use mode. JMHO, YMMV MM

    LF AR Bolt won’t hold open with no magazine

    After you swap the bolt catch between lowers, & if the GGP lower still doesn't work, I think you will have your answer as highlighted above. GGP would be waaaaaaaaay down the list of an upper & lower to use for a "quality" build for me. YMMV MM
