    Rock Creek Barrels

Way too many people are obsessively obsessed with having to have every AR that they own be a sub-half MOA rifle when, for most uses, that's just completely unnecessary for the gun to perform it's assigned task perfectly, except for bragging on an internet forum. YMMV MM

    Rock Creek Barrels

I don't doubt that you got some bad product from whoever it was, but I've never, on any forum, anywhere, seen anybody report a problem with an RC barrel from Craddock. And I've been doing business with him since he was at WOA. If you have any current, specific knowledge that says different...

Geissele Mid Range Gas Gun for the low price of $6,500

A KAC SR-15 is not $5K+................if you can find one. SR-25 are $6K though. I bought 3 over the years from Kelley's & he generally can get something in a reasonable timeframe......................Geiselle in just nuts. Nice gun but $6500 ain't gonna get many takers, but I think they know...

Odin Works 16:1 barrel or Wilson Combat 16" Recon

I have the Wilson barrel you are considering that I got a couple of years ago. After I worked through a tight headspace issue & got it installed, it's been pretty decent...........shoots right at an inch to slightly better with 77 SMK's & 8208, 69 RMR's & about the same with IMI Razorcore for 5...

I have two RC barrels, via Craddock Precision, both in 223 Wylde; both are hammers. MM

Failure to Feed Issue with AR-10

^^^^^^^ The bolt moving too fast is my guess as well; with an AGB, I always turn gas down to where the bolt will not lock back, then adjust open just enough to get reliable function. Just had pretty much the same issue with a new POF 308 that my son bought against my best advice. MM

Gauging questions on an AR 15 upper assembly.

It's always best & easiest & (IMO) most reliable, to check the uninstalled barrel by hand with a stripped bolt; but it can be done assembled, with the bolt stripped (preferred) or not, but that's not the best way unless you have special HS gauges as already discussed. I check every barrel I get...

Wilson Arms 16" and 20" AR15 Barrel Testing

Yeah, 23.5 is the easy button alright & I love 8208 as well & still have a full 8 pounder but VV N540 does just as well with a little more velocity so I'm using that as well. Someone also mentioned H4895, but as far as I'm concerned that's a last choice for an AR as the recoil impulse is just...

Wilson Arms 16" and 20" AR15 Barrel Testing

LOL, that's over 9,000+ 223 rounds...............that should work for a year or 2's worth of shooting. Maybe MM

Pick apart my SPR build please

I don't think there's really anything "wrong" with your basic build & it should make a nice rifle. Assuming it's a rifle gas barrel (since you didn't say unless I missed it) & done by CLE, I highly doubt you're going to either need or want an H2 buffer & a green spring. But if I were doing...

Wilson Arms 16" and 20" AR15 Barrel Testing

It's not immune, but no moreso than 8208. I've shot 20-90F with no issues with either accuracy or function. MM

Wilson Arms 16" and 20" AR15 Barrel Testing

If you like 8208, you'll love VV - N540. More velocity, maybe better accuracy, but at least as good..............just takes a couple more grains though is the usage is slightly more. MM

WOA accuracy issues, my experience… (update 9/24/2023)

I've had good results in several guns with the RMR 69's, but not in any of my WOA barrels & I've not shot extended groups either. With 25.3 gr VV-N540. But they've done consistently under an inch in every case, just firing a 5 shot string for group whenever I have those guns at the range over...

Wilson Arms 16" and 20" AR15 Barrel Testing

Check your headspace with the bolt(s) you are going to use.............I'll explain. I only have one WC barrel & it's very lightweight SS, fluted, 16" intermediate gas, that I used for a lightweight build. As with all barrels that I use, I checked the HS before installing it with a standard...

    Upper Build Assembly techniques.

Just for conversation; seems like Padom has also provided information on Wilson blanks, too. Kinda doubt that you need a barrel lapping kit either. MM The Wilson Arms barrel company in Brantford, Connecticut, has been making barrels for over 50+ years and produces the barrels for Cooper...
