Night Vision New NV and Thermal Gear at 2024 Shot Show

These are ancient critters, released 10+ years ago ... apparently mostly for international market (under State Department auspices) ... These are NOT the new thermal clipon(s) from N-Vision, we are still waiting for !!!! Not, not not !!!

    Night Vision Night Ops

Again, Dennis and you are talking/thinking focal length. I was asked to measure the lens diameter. Focal length is the distance between the lens and the sensor. Lens diameter is the distance from one edge of the lens to the opposite edge of the lens. Two different numbers !!! As I said...

    Night Vision Night Ops

Interestingly, though much larger, the Theon ELR actually fits on this mk18ish ... Whereas the Voodoo-ML does not. Part of that has to do with the folded design of the ELR, vs the inline design of the ML.

    Night Vision Night Ops

Depending on where you measure to, from 42-46 mm. The smaller is the part of the lens inside the black lens ring and the 46mm is the whole lens. The utc xii did not exploit the 12um pitch to make the unit much smaller than the utc x. The M does. Also remember focal length != lens diameter.

    Night Vision Night Ops

Note the ML is heavier than the M. And the above weight is with the skeet mount and 2xc123. Yeah its definitely overkill on the 22. The buttons are the same as the utc and skeet BUT the functions are different, like now we double tap the menu button to NUC. So I put it on the 22 since I...

    Night Vision Night Ops

Here's my new voodoo-ML ... traded some "FRN" to evo9 for it ... the M is sort of a gen2 UTC/UTM hybrid ... oasys core etc. Good for 15x ish on the day scope, but has a diopter AND and software adjustable collimation, though we haven't had a need to use it yet. So far, on the guns we're run...

Night Vision New Armasight Units (Sidekick and Jockey 640s)

Update from Armasight yesterday, our first batch of 10 units (we had in inventory and sent back for upgrades) are now in route back to us, we should have them next week. So the "upgrade machine" seems to be humming along at Armasight.

Night Vision Vortex Impact 4000 Rifle/Rail mounted Range finder???

Depends. Most ppl put on top, so if you are a herd critter put on top ! If u r gonna put in a pelican, then side mount would require u to remove and remount. If u are righty the left side you can see it with your unengaged eye. I find right side is easier carry for bolt gun strapped across my...

Night Vision Realistic accuracy expectations with a thermal

Nothing special, rem700 SA, criterion 22" medium profile, NF Atacr 4-16 t3, LWTS-LR thermal clipon, fgmm 175gr, RRS tripod with anvil-30 head. 100yds, 8x on day scope, DRT thermal target, day time - I'd never shot a DRT target, and hardly ever shoot in the day time with thermal. You can...

    Leupold Mk6 Still a Contender?

The mk6 3-18 t3 is my oldest scope (started life as an h58 but got it upgraded later), got it in apr 2014, I've sold a lot of scopes since then, including a mk5 5-25x which i never even mounted since it had a pronounced "fish eye". Maybe I had a lemon ? Mk6 still seems relevant based on...

Night Vision New Armasight Units (Sidekick and Jockey 640s)

Reached out to you offline to resolve. I have not, raised with Armasight last week. Whowhatwherehownowbrowncow has gotten some rechargables to fit, I have not. I've been using 2xprimary-c123 got 6-7 hours run time in 25F avg temp.

Night Vision New Armasight Units (Sidekick and Jockey 640s)

As to questions about the sidekick upgrade process, we've sent out emails (last week) to all our customers who bought Sidekicks from us, so everyone has been notified about the process (who bought from us). If you bought from another dealer, they should notify you similarly. Basically, you...

    Clip on for a HNT26

look at what Travis224 did, anchored to the receiver and oscillation mitigated by nylon tipped set screw. Thats what I will be doing !

    Clip on for a HNT26

Yeah, Nox35s like travis224 is sportin' are halfish the size of the halo-50s ... and solid out to 400-ish yards with real holding reticles. As to clipons, if you're not anchored (with screws) on both ends, on the forearm and the receiver with anything long enuff to get the job done, then you...

    Clip on for a HNT26

My personal core team has members with interest in HNT26 and hence we have studied the issue, though haven't done it yet. It is possible to mount a short rail to the front 12 oclock of the '26 ... but for most scopes (I also use the NX8 2.5-20x) the clipon mounted on a short rail up from on the...

Night Vision New Armasight Units (Sidekick and Jockey 640s)

Ravyn's don't use the standard dove tail type interface between the NODs and the bridge. So if you want to mount a dove tail, we recommend an IC bridge. The IC bridge has numerous interfaces enabling mounting of mum, 14, etc. NODs. Restated, you can mount anything on an IC bridge, you...
