If THE bill passes… what semi-auto shotgun for SBS?

I like the little sorta shotguns for this role. Just drop a stock on and done, no barrel cutting or anything like that. Rem tac 13 was very nice, but seems like they are hard to find now for some reason. Mossberg makes their pump ones, shockwave and a newer semi auto supposedly based on their...

Vortex 2-10 PST vs 1-10 Razor

I like those 2.5 10 vortex pst scopes as well. Very nice bang for the buck and good features! Don't think I really have any complaints and I've used them since the early gen ones. I do like the adjustable parallax for closer shooting as well as further out. A lot of scopes with similar features...

    Direct thread can backs off

I shoot direct thread mostly. Have had good luck with shoot it hot, and tighten a bit with wrench, strap, glove etc. I've also had a bit of blue lock tight work too, at least short term, but not a fan Guess it depends on your firing sequences a lot. If hot and tight don't work, some sort of...

Canadian Ranger rifles in the Arctic need replacements, don’t work in the cold

I like the laminate stock, but you'd think this would be something to easily test and engineer before you field all the rifles lol? Just seems damn sloppy to me.

    Best brace ?

The a5 with metal catch works well for the price if you are buffer tubed.

    New Home Defense Rifle Suggestions

A braced bcm daniel defense, lmt, hell or even a psa will do fine. 300blk, 8 or 10 inch barrel. Supersonic black tip barnes projectiles at 2100ish fps. Put a decent suppressor, light, red dot, and a nice quick adjust sling and you're in business. If you want more ammo versatility, go for a 5.56...

30-06 varget and Hornady 176gr Atip

Have used plenty of varget for 3006 when it's what I had... slower powder is your friend as said above! Varget did fine for me with 178 amax and 175 and 168 smk pulls. Not optimal, but plenty good for steel inside 500, probably more from how mine did. Main downside was leaving free velocity...

Longer range ar15 sight in distance

I like 100 for anything gonna get shot mid range and occasionally far out with a precision oriented optic... reason being I have easy access to an exact 100 yard spot set up. Makes it easy lol. Lpvo acog etc generally gets max point blank zero, hunting guns as well with duplex and non ranging...

9 mm pistol suppressor on 9mm carbine

Spacer or adapter for the win. Sure it'll work with the booster spring, but why risk it. If you're handy can make a spacer if you have an old or oddball can as well. It much to em. Most modern suppressor companies have exactly what you need, a spacer or a full on threaded adapter to swap in.

Subsonic 223 in a bolt gun. Shooting supressed

Yes indeed! The ruger 77 ones, especially as an sbr do very well. If you don't mind the barrel length a 16 inch 38 or 357 lever gun is a perfect suppressor host I think. Longer barrel is quieter noticeably if thats your focus. Cast bullet and a few grains of a fast fluffy pistol powder is super...

Subsonic 223 in a bolt gun. Shooting supressed

A bolt action 38special or 357mag would be my pick. Great bullets meant for those speeds and fast fluffy powders are very quiet if you have more than an 8 inch barrel and decent can

Do I need a 700 in my arsenal.

Easy barrel switching for the win, even if you don't shoot much. Nice to have the option of prefits etc. Rob is right on.

    Bankruptcy R700 woes

As said above, I've had to shorten plenty or rem700 action screws when swapping stocks. If they are too long they interfere with the bolt and definately make the action hard to open

    458 socom bl length

I have a 12 inch tromix. Runs great, but as said above, is not particularly quiet with any loads that run the action. Pistol length gas with adjustable block, have tried a couple different cans. A 16 inch bolt gun with fast powder or longer ar15 barrel will make less noise of course... just...

Seen it do real well in .223 ai bolt gun with 77g bullets. Not a favorite, but meters well and plenty consistent inside 500 yards for practical shots.

FRT's - What is good? And what is Rare Breeds real website?

I'll ask next time I talk with them where they bought. Haven't gotten any of either kind or tried to get one myself since so much oddball legal shit about them, but seen lots of em at the range and both styles seem to work really well once people get fit and function figured out. DNT does a...
