    45-70 SUBS - 405gr LFP/Titegroup

Cast usually goes a good bit faster in same loading since it moves through the barrel much easier vs copper jacketed. You should be able to get cast 405 or heavier, if not those to shoot. Those bullets at .458 are smaller diameter than I've shot in any of mine successfully and that's definitely...

    45-70 SUBS - 405gr LFP/Titegroup

For subsonic 4570 the best thing you can do is load a big bullet if your rifle can do it, a 600ish grain postel etc gives me the best luck. 4570 is a big case... too big for good subs really. The best fix ive found is making your own big cast bullets to eat up the case space. Also can get rifle...

    BUDGET BATTLE RIFLE

Shoot it and see! Unless there's some dumb gas port issue I'd think it'll run fine, fingers crossed of course. Put guts in and shoot the piss out of it. It's the only way to be sure.

    Powder for super short 300blk

1680 and cfe blk will give awesome function but extra noise. I've seen them both run 220 smk reliably from an 6.x inch barrel down to 750 fps. Even lower with cast. Gun had adjustable gas and was set for a short TBA 5 inch can. Lil gun and n110 are my go to usually and seem to work well in most...

    Small Powder Charge Dangerous?

I gotta throw out there too that all the posts about how dumb subsonic 223 is are not wrong lol, and personally i dont waste my time and resources on it when there are so many other ways to handle it. It is very doable but the juice just isnt worth the squeeze in normal circumstances. Get a...

    Small Powder Charge Dangerous?

Just need to use the right powder. Fast burning and fluffy are what you need. A lighter bullet can make less noise bc less powder. Going for 900ish fps cuts noise as well. 223 is not a good candidate for this, but a fluffy fast powder can make it workable. Red dot, tin star, trail boss, unique...

ACCURACY INTERNATIONAL SPARE PARTS IN GENERAL

I definately do not see them as often as I used to. Likely need to keep a sharp eye and snag em when you can.

    .223 Twist Rate

Unless you're shooting very light varmint stuff I think a 7 twist is perfect. 7 has done fine with anything I shoot from 62g greens up 77 tipped and 77 smk.

    Pulled Pills ?

I've shot a lot of pulled 175s. A lot. Yes I like to know if they are pulled. I've seen a lot of variability in bullet ogive and length. I think it just comes down to one maybe was produces 15 years before the other etc. Maybe were made during machine warm up or whatever. I definitely think it...

300 grain ,Nosler Ballistic Silver tip..458 Socom

Specs on the rifle would be helpful. There is very little to be gained by loading hotter in this round. Velocity kinda is what it is in my experience. Try for reliability, enough speed for bullet to work, and good enough consistency at your target distance. Data used to be crazy variable on...

    Win Mag Primers

I've had a couple shell holders do this in my hand primer. I suppose they were just slightly out of spec? Were all old rcbs I believe. Any chance an odd shell holder is in play? Not sure what you're priming with... if a non issue carry in with investigation!

.308 Brass Resizing: Lee Collet Die vs. SAC Bushings - Which is Best for Neck Sizing?

If a typical loader with mixed brass, no neck turning or prep etc then I think the collet die is the winner. Have made tons of great ammo that way. IF you're doing big boy brass prep, matched brass etc , and want every little bit of consistency then I think the bushing style can help. It...

    Reloading - cost of entry

That lee hand press will do just fine with a set of lee dies that has a collet neck sizer included. Made plenty of good ammo that way. Bigger cases are tough though. 308ish and smaller are all doable with average effort and good case lube.

    30-06 Rem 721

Have tried to run a bunch of dad and paps old scopes for nostalgia to match the old photos... I'm like 0 and 4 fwiw. None were good ones though so that indeed could play a role. Could have been bad in 1970 lol. Rings and base could be worth a look too. I'll just say I've not been handed down...

    First outing with my reloads...

Pink tent looks inclusive. Good call. You even used Mexican match ammo to really open things up. Impressive. Probably get 5 extra votes changed blue once they see your pics lol. Appreciate the pics. Good shooting and good luck with the Grendel! Unless something is wrong with it I bet you'll get...
