    Need a better muzzle brake

And PVA brakes work. Also quiter than my Fat B*. 45-90- yours looks like it has single side pirts and a single top port. Is that correct? I have played around with building muzzle brakes with 5 axis cnc milling and never got results I like in either recoil reduction or appearance.

That stock is stunning. If it wasn't left handed.

    Need a better muzzle brake

Not 100% TBAC related, but don't most actual test with equipment and data show suppressors do not match brakes for recoil reduction and that suppressors with brakes have to low of velocity to be of significant use to do much for recoil reduction? This is a actual question after having read about...

Help: Need to fill this gap (pics)

Threads should be .600 from muzzle to shoulder I believe. Measure it with the caliper and take Rubicon Precision up on their offer. Other option is send it to a smith and have them blast what appears to be about 0.100" off the length and re-crown.

    First rifle

Don't do it. $500 isn't enough for any centefire worth owning. By a RPR rimfire or cz457 and a $400 Arken scope. Buy a brick of eley club and go shoot. I think a lot of us made these mistakes. Start with a $500 rifle. Then a $300 trigger next is a $400-$1500 chassis/stock. Then $1000 for a full...

    Impact NBK vs Stiller Wombat

Pinned and screwed rails are fine if done correctly. A touch of loc tite under the rail and on the screws will hold it together very well. All that said after owning a GA Precision/Impact 737 I don't think I would ever go back.

Precision Rifle Cleaning Kit - What are you using?

Dewey rod, montana extreme brushs, c4 carbon remover, sweets 7.62 for copper, what ever patches wrapped around a worn out nylon brush or 1 size small. Isopropyl alcohol to dry and then lock ez and a dry patch. Pistol rod with a 45 cal brush wrapped with a patch to clean the chamber. At the...

Who hunts with a 14-16lb rifle?

I have and will continue to hunt with my 17# rifle. I have walked 10 miles with it in a day, but I go home every night. Most days a mile or two is about it.

    GA Precision Templar V3 Action

The Templar V3 that is in my hands is 100% a 75 degree action, made by Impact as has been said. It takes all Impact prefits just like any 737 action.

    Lightweight custom action

Impact NBK is 75 degree now I think. ETA- Gacory beat me to it. But my impact 75 degree is smooth as anything.

    No rimfire for SHTF

But I bet he never regaled you with tails of how many gun fights he won with it. BTW, I didn't even make it through 500 rounds of Wolf Match Extra before I had a FTF. CZ457. Well maintained. Clean as anything. Hard primer strikes. Cause I tried it 3 times. I am not discounting a 22lr, especially...

Updated advice on optics at or under $1500

Burris XTR 3 beats MK5 and XRS3 to my eyes. I own a XRS3 and it's every bit as good as a MK5. Leupold MK4 doesn't compete with the mark 5, and how could it for $800 less? It does fix several of my personal issues that the mk5 had as mentioned by CK1.0. I avoid Athlon and Arken. I would rather...

Lightweight, heavy cal hunting rifle thoughts?

I'm all for killing stuff extra dead. Not trying to talk you out of the 338 Norma. But you will be looking at 375 H&H recoil or more.

Lightweight, heavy cal hunting rifle thoughts?

I would go 3b contour for the barrel. Throw it in a Manners EH series. 338 norma seems fine to me..... :) Enjoy riding the lightning with a 270 bullet over 90 grains of powder.
