    All new gear setups

Origin, Impact, Defiance or CDG. I like how my Impact feels the best and hate the CDG measure with a ball tennon but I think all are beyond good. You could always get a AI and go to the dark side....

    Big game all-rounder

7stw is full Mongo. 900 round barrel life. 338 win recoil. Not designed for high BC bullets and I have never seen a box of factory ammo. I know all thi because I am also full Mongo and contemplated a 7 STW build a few years ago for ELR before realizing I'm poor.

    All new gear setups

GAP still rocks. Spend most of the budget on what you want to shoot the most and ammo. Actions that take prefits are the new(ish) hotness. Also, a company called Trigger Tech is what all the cool kids use for triggers now.

Are the FN SPR enthusiasts extinct?

What caliber? If still 308 I would go with the leupold. Of a fast 6, 6.5 or the dreaded 25 I would go with more mag, but I am a magnification snob. I want to see mirage and be zoomed in as far as I can when I shoot F class. That doesn't mean I'm a 30+, but I'm never below 25. I read most PRS...

Are the FN SPR enthusiasts extinct?

I liked the 2 better. I had a DMR, then a XRS 1, XRS 2 and then they warrantied the 2 out for the 3. Had better glass, better clicks and was what I would consider a step above the 3. But the 2 was like $2k + and the 3, when they traded it out was only $1600.

Did I burn up my 6GT at a match?

Have you cleaned it since the match all the way down to bare metal? Could be a hard carbon ring. Could be you got a outlier on the barrel life bell curve. Could be there's enough copper in there to do stuff. I don't believe either of those would be enough to toast a barrel in 900 rounds. I...

Are the FN SPR enthusiasts extinct?

Full build. Blueprint. Tbm bdm. Bartlien. Pillar bedding in the original stock. Everything. I looked for a CDI for months. Got a screaming deal on the tbm. And GAP did a hell of a job on it. It's a .3MOA gun with 175 smk. Yes the FN SPR was among the best when it came out. Better stock and...

Are the FN SPR enthusiasts extinct?

I wish someone there would have mentioned it when I was getting a quote and asked about it in January. I went GAP instead because they are a 90 minute drive from me and they had a 2 month turn around.

Are the FN SPR enthusiasts extinct?

I love my FN. It's been rebuilt at GAP. Got a Bartlien HV. Got the TBM. Fully pillar bedded. Mcarbo trigger spring. The works. It's a honest .3moa 308..... I just bought a Templar V3 because the SPR can go no further. I want a better trigger. AICS mags. Manners PRS2 stock. Was the FN a mistake...
