    Sweet baby Jebus the dude asked about a rifle. You all have decided that you need to vomit your opinion on everything from 223 for elk to sharp xxxxxx sticks. Elk can be killed by arrows. He even stated what caliber he wants to use cause he has primers and powder for it.

    With my hand loads I could get 3 round groups under a inch as the norm. That's all I expect out of a 8.5lbs rifle with a barrel that thin. Recoil was tolerable. Fit and finish was good. I want another but in something a little more.... unique. 7x57. 284. 6.5x55.

    Had a 2005ish m70 Featherweight in 300wsm. Lovely rifle. Never shot a group bigger than 1.5moa. Cycled smooth. Trigger was meh. 165 TTSX over h4350 was a hammer. The elk hunter who bought it loves it.

    LRI said they would inlet one for me 2 months ago. So this would be news to me. ETA- I didn't end up going with LRI because I decided to keep the mcmillian and have GAP rebuild and rebarrel the rifle.

    Varget vs N140

    Looks like I can run 100fps faster than either with varget. Are the CIP loads on the soft side vs Hodgdon manual? ETA- sierra manual shows n140 and varget nearly identical with 175s but 150fps slower with 155smk. Doesn't even show N150.

    454 and 480 are kind of the line before you have to step into X frames and other cartoon guns(cause the look like cartoon bull$%/+). I also wish smith would make a N frame 454 or 475/480.
