    Thermal clip-on for 4x ACOG: VooDoo-M, N-Vision Halo-C, Excelitas Dragon C12-XR, or something else?

For a SBR 5.56... why not look into the Voodoo S? The M is top tier, but the S seems more appropriate in this situation.

    Leveling a scope

Since I was the first to reply... I really wish I just said, use the plumb bob and be done with it. I have a expensive (Era tac) bubble level and a ACI (had to buy the higher end mil-spec of course) and guess how many times I've used both? I also live in the Midwest, not too many large hills...

    Leveling a scope

Level the scope using the plumb bob, and then match the bubble level to your reticle. Don't worry if the bubble doesn't match level to the rifle etc. You're hardly ever have your rifle perfectly level anyway.

Aspie here, and we will definitely info dump on our special interests. So I see nothing incorrect here... Some love trains, dinosaurs, or long-range rifles.

Night Vision Looking to purchase first thermal clip on

UTC Xii... But I have that rare cool factor (no warranty) and still one of the best form factors. Vooddoo M and UTC X/Xii. Post cost well over 10K for long range capabilities and do not boast those specs. So yes, I think it'll change the pricing of the market. No it's not going to tank...

Night Vision Looking to purchase first thermal clip on

Hence why I was said it would shift the market. Coming out with a unit with those specs at 10K is going to drop the prices of every other unit. People will be dumping their old units to jump on this one, etc. But what a great point you made

Wait until/if this is released (rumored to be shortly). It's only supposed to be around the 10K mark. If any of this turns out to be true, it might shift the market a little bit.

    Sidearms & Scatterguns Handguns...show 'em

This particular Smith& Wesson that I posted above did come with a rough Brillo pad finish. This is not a long time invested nor is it a near a mirror finish that I applied. I probably spent 15 to 30 minutes. With Flitz, I have a lot of knife polishing in my background. I couldn't resist.

    Sidearms & Scatterguns Handguns...show 'em

Thanks for the information and I'm well aware of the brand. I've gone down that rabbit hole before. This is always loaded (as in the picture), but is mainly my night stand gun. My father died when I was 8 years old, so it was my grandfather that got me into firearms. I think he would love the...
