    Yeah the 6.5X47 would definitely be a better option for hitting more steel…. McMillan A4 stock Bartlein barrel AICS magazines Suppressor Perhaps I’ll just plan on taking it….there just doesn’t seem to be a good match option for DMR style rifles with medium range capability.

    I have zero interest in shooting supers. The 1:3 stabilizing characteristics for high bc subs is the only reason I would consider this caliber. Super quiet, super accurate. Anything more than that, almost any other .338 loading is superior.

    I don’t want to just throw a big piece of metal down range; I want to accurately shoot a high bc projectile at subsonic velocity and remain 1-2 moa or better past 500-600yds. Of course I have better options to shoot distance with, this is just a fun project.

    Field reports have this chambering shooting accurately well past 400yds. Of course it’s expensive, but it’s not a gun I’ll shoot 20K rounds a year through. Just a rifle to slap steel hard at distance with a whisper quiet rifle.
