    Cradle for precision shooting?

Re: Cradle for precision shooting? They are great for shooting over/through vegetation, stalking, and sitting in positions for extended periods of time. My team took at least one tripod mounted rifle rest with us on every mission we went on in the Marine Corps. It's an invaluable tool to have...

Rifle Scopes Got my scope back from Short-bus

I mailed out my S&B 3-20x50 scope to Short-bus a couple weeks ago to be finished in FDE Cerakote. The Cerakote turned out great and I'd highly recommend his work. The black lettering is perfect and the whole scope looks like it could have left the S&B factory floor as-is. Here is a link to...

    AX Chassis- Lets see them!

Re: AX Chassis- Lets see them! Thanks, I am taking the rig to the range next week. FYI - Cerakoting the AX Chassis was a bigger ordeal than expected. The tubular forend took a long time to sandblast all the little mounting holes. It was a headache but well worth it in the end.

    Any tips on removing Krylon?

Re: Any tips on removing Krylon? I've had good results with the paint strippers in gel form. It's way cleaner than liquid paint stripper that will streak and get stuck in cracks and crevices of the rifle/scope. Citristrip is the last brand of gel stripper I've used. Make sure to use a plastic...

    NEW MOD-7 HOG Saddle

Re: NEW MOD-7 HOG Saddle Since the HOG Saddle closes at 1.5" and the Mcree is 1.5" wide, the rest does not clamp enough to control the stock. Customers who own Mcree stocks either use a S.O. Tech Skid Plate to add width, tape a chunk of iso-mat to the inside of the HOG Saddle, or clamp the...

    168gr Matchking problem?????

Re: 168gr Matchking problem????? 168's will get the job done at 1000 yards but you'll get random flyers. The flyers make it difficult to differentiate between shooter err or the bullet being pushed beyond its limits. I qualled the known distance portion of Scout Sniper School with 168's. We...

    Tripods for XLR

    Tripods for XLR

Re: Tripods for XLR Currently on the military and Gov side Manfrotto is king. Manfrotto's aren't cheap but you get what you pay for. Here are four great tripods to check out. I prefer the 055 models because they manage recoil better but the 190 models are lighter and cheaper. Manfrotto...

Night Vision 20MOA forward rail to mount PVS-27?

Re: 20 MOA forward rail to mount PVS-27? Thanks for the feedback guys. I'll be stuck using the 0MOA forward rail until I can find a 20MOA rail that's in stock. When I find one I will compare what my groups look like with both at distance. A noticeable difference, if there is any, should be...

Night Vision 20MOA forward rail to mount PVS-27?

Re: 20 MOA forward rail to mount PVS-27? So what's your opinion then on the forward rail cant IPSC_GUY? If you have a scope mounted on a 20MOA base, do you personally mount your clip-on night vision to a 20MOA forward rail? The lack of POI shift with Terry’s range testing is pretty cool.

Night Vision 20MOA forward rail to mount PVS-27?

Re: 20MOA forward rail to mount PVS-27? Thanks for the info on the Badger IMUNS. I wouldn't think 20MOA would make a noticeable difference but apparently AI thinks so. I'll see how the 0MOA rail I currently have works. As long as the POI is the same I don't really care. The cant on a forward...

Night Vision 20MOA forward rail to mount PVS-27?

I just put together a 300WM in an AX chassis and will be doing some night shooting in the near future. The AX chassis has accessory options of various picatinny rail attachments. They make 0MOA and 20MOA forward rails for night vision. My question is, what is the recommended and/or standard...
