    Savage 12fv - 6.5 creedmore

I have a 12FV. Love it. Accurate, affordable, good rifle - if consistently reliable feed and ejection are not important for your use case. Seems to me that PRS has that requirement. I have put enough target rounds down range to experience the once in a while feed/ejection/trigger bug-a-boos...

Starting a Savage 12FV build; Have some painfully newb questions about stock bedding...

I run a Seekins one piece 20 MOA rail, Seekins rings, and SWFA 12x scope on my 12FV. I use a triad tactical stock pack to get my eye where it needs to be. It works 'ok', but if I had to do it all over I would have sprung for the adjustable comb version. I still may so that for my other...

Kbroad, Blind mag parts come out of the factory stock. The first time, it needs a little 'help' to come out.....

Starting a Savage 12FV build; Have some painfully newb questions about stock bedding...

I bought a 4.4 center feed version of that same stock for a Stevens 200 action some years ago. I have since bolted my 12FV into that same stock and it works great - factory action screws and all. Never felt the need to bed as my .223 12FV is a laser with its favorite bullets/powder.

    Stabilizing 69gr .223 in 1:9 twist barrel

I have a Savage 1:9, 26" barrel. No real measurable difference in my rifle between the Sierra 69gr and the 77gr to date.

Is the Savage 10BA Stealth the best/only factory, mag fed, bolt gun for a lefty for ~$1k?

I love threads for lefty suggestions. As a fellow lefty, I am always hopeful someone will chime in with a left handed option I never thought of. My 2 cents: I own 3 Savage rifles of differing quality levels, 2 right bolt, and 1 left bolt (10 FLCP-K). For hunting and target shooting, they are...

Buying a Left Handed 6.5 - Need Some Guidance

I forgot to add... I emailed Bergara asking about left handed models and they responded that they might have something available Q1 of 2018.

Buying a Left Handed 6.5 - Need Some Guidance

I am in the same boat as you - a lefty looking for an accurate 1K general purpose target rifle. You are so right about factory offerings today. I get it, there are so few of us, but we get no love! How hard could it reeeeeeally be for Tikka to put out a few lefty versions of their new chassis...

Entry level precision bolt in 6.5 Creedmoor, a lefty can use. Savage vs Weatherby

I did just the ball bearing swap in all three of my Savages. Solved my extraction issues. They shoot awesome, feed and extract ... well....acceptably anyway for my current use. I wish Tikka would send a left bolt in their new chassis rifle to the US. I played with a right bolt one in Turners...

Questions from new guy regarding Savage and Howa vs. Remington

I am learning long distance bolt action shooting as well, so I'll give you my newb opinion based on my learning to date. For the record, I have three Savages: two .308, and one .223. If your rifles work for you and meet your requirements/expectations, then they are not junk. If they are not...
