Night Vision Flir hiss and other assorted night time goon goodies

For those that have used both, how does the HISS XLR compare to the INOD type devices when it comes to image quality and features/useability?

Optic Needed for Intro to Precision Shooting course

I agree with trying before you buy if that is possible. If not, Optics Planet has the Vortex PST gen 2 3-15 with EBR-2C mil tree reticle for $570 and there are almost always ~10% off coupons to be had. That is a spectacular scope for the money. They track well, have good glass, and are...

Best suppressor for 300WM gas gun

Assuming the below: 1. the shooter is still going to be using earpro since it is still going to be loud as shit (port pop alone would have to be pretty bad on that kind of setup, I'd imagine) 2. the rifle is being employed as a precisionish weapon I'd buy a relatively lightweight steel can so...

Night Vision The Official: Steiner C35 Thermal Clip-on Review and User Thread!

You should buy that $1900 C35 immediately. That is an amazing deal. These devices punch way above their price.

Advice re Picture of NV Clip-On Issue

That is solid service, good on them. I had a PVS-14 with a couple of those almost twenty years ago, but I wasn't magnifying that screen like you do with a clip-on so I never really thought too much about it. If that was on my PVS-27 it would probably annoy me.

Rifle Scopes Is a Viper PST Gen 3 coming???

I sold my LHT 4.5-22 for several reasons, but chief among them was the fact that I could barely differentiate between it and my several gen 2 PST 3-15 scopes when it came to glass quality. That isn't a dig, necessarily, but the EBR-2D PSTs were about half the price at that time while having a...

Rifle Scopes Is a Viper PST Gen 3 coming???

I'd love a gen 2 PST 3-15 with locking turrets and shake awake illumination. Bonus points if they extend the tree to 15 mil for use with my 300 Blk subs, but I don't want to be too picky! That said, the existing 3-15 is a might big bang for the buck.

    Night Vision RIX L3

Exactly. I'm not sure how the internals worked on the old AN/PAS-13B scopes, but simply twisting the FOV ring seemed to allow two different focal lengths on the objective lens side of things. That was 20ish years ago. I've used those devices pretty extensively and, aside from their bulkiness...

Primary Arms GLx 1-10x24 FFP just dropped

Update on the PA GLX 1-10 griffin mil scopes I bought recently: I still haven't found what I'm missing on these scopes as they are performing really well. I have two of them mounted to rifles; one to a Steyr Scout in 6.5 Creedmoor and one to a 10.5" 300 Blk SBR AR. The scope isn't...

Night Vision Vortex Impact 4000 Rifle/Rail mounted Range finder???

Thank you, I did not realize that was an option. Thanks for the response, that does not look excessively bright in that pic. I'm curious to hear the opinions of others as far as their impressions when using in the dark. Applying tint sticker to it like the poster above mentioned would...

Night Vision Vortex Impact 4000 Rifle/Rail mounted Range finder???

Damn. I will probably hold off for now if that is the case. @Scott_at_Vortex is there any future possibility of giving the screen some lower intensity settings to facilitate low/no light use? A big, bright screen is not conducive to use in the dark. Ranging with a clip-on NV or thermal was...

Primary Arms GLx 1-10x24 FFP just dropped

Good video, thanks for making and posting that. I'm a little bit confused by how absolutely incredible mine is for the $$. It's almost like I'm somehow missing something obvious on these that is going to be a real turnoff. At any rate, FedEx will have a couple more of them for me next week...

Primary Arms GLx 1-10x24 FFP just dropped

The FedEx guy connected with us today so I got to try it out tonight. I've had hands on for around two hours so please take my thoughts with a grain of salt. Initial impressions are very good. It exudes "high build quality," if that makes sense. The glass quality is better than I was expecting...

Primary Arms GLx 1-10x24 FFP just dropped

Thank you for the update. Mine should be in my hands right now but I missed FedEx this morning (my fault, not theirs). I will add my thoughts, good, bad, or ugly, about the optic to this thread as I get to use it.

Primary Arms GLx 1-10x24 FFP just dropped

Your comments in this thread talked me into it. I needed something for my new Steyr Scout and was caught between this and the PLX-C (mostly for the weight savings). I had a spare vortex pst2 3-15 that has been on it the last couple weeks to see if the gun can shoot but that is larger and...

Primary Arms GLx 1-10x24 FFP just dropped

Thanks for the information provided in this thread. How would you compare the optical quality of the GLX 1-10 vs. the GLX 1-6?

Night Vision Vortex Impact 4000 Rifle/Rail mounted Range finder???

I'm looking forward to details. Based on those pictures, it looks like the battery cap is similar to what is on the Bushnell CONX and the battery contacts should be perpendicular to the direction of recoil, both of which are good. It also appears the adjustments are internal vs. external on...
