    I don't understand the struggles scope companies have with reticles. My complaint is a lack of consistency throughout. The best reticles are broken up in either 1 MOA or .2 MIL increments.     Yes, the illumination is bad. It is so bad they should be embarrassed. The only other gripe........... side focus and magnification adjustment are really stiff and hard to get a grip on. Otherwise a pretty good scope....... really like mine.

    It looks like a great scope for sporter weight hunting rifles. I like the parallax adjustment especially since it adjusts down to 25 yrds.......awesome .22 rimfire scope......(yes I take my squirrel hunting seriously). Nightforce reliability...... what's not to like?

    Re: Need a tripod, whats out there nowadays? Check out Gitzo. I think their carbon fiber tripods are the best on the market. I mount my Swarovski 15x56's on them....good combo. A good fluid head will make a big difference also.
