    Sticky bolt/hard to extract.

Headstamp/primer look fine. Adjust Fl sizer for two thousandths shoulder bump, problem solved....Your case has no room for normal spring back with the half a neck size thing you're doing.

    States with loosest gun laws

Boy, did this thread go downhill in a hurry lol. But at least my home state continues to win this debate every year, way to go Arizona!

    NF reticle for mile +

I have used both reticles. One is not going to make a mile shot harder than the other. They are both very good reticles, just very different. The H-59 is more usable in a tactical enviornment & obviously offers more useability for windage holds & more accurate and faster follow-up shots...

    Need a new scale. Recommendations?

If you're ok with plus or minus a tenth of a grain, the chargemaster is just fine. There's a ton of people here on the Hide that are using them. The two biggest tips I can offer that help get along with them just fine is 1., turn it on 30 minutes prior to use and 2., put a line filter in your...

At what distance are you doing this?

Steel Target Stand, Swinging or Fixed

I currently set up for personal use (and that of friends) using 1/4" AR500 steel plate for up to 375 round impacts and wouldn't change from that due to target weight being the limiting factor in both loading/unloading in the truck, transporting and set up. The 24" 1/4"targets @ 2000yds seem to...

    Labradar Opinions

If you have an external battery, the AA batteries are unnecessary.

Steel Target Stand, Swinging or Fixed

Not at 2500. At 2000 with the 353 grainers, sometimes a small dimple, sometimes not. The 416 Barrett however craters it big time lol.

    338 Lapua brass oddness??

Exactly the same mark on my fired brass too.

Steel Target Stand, Swinging or Fixed

Yes, allowing it to swing will give you a much better "hit verification" by the target movement. Depending on the condition of the paint and the bullet type (especially with solids) its usually easier to see the target swing than the bullet splash at a mile and out. We set up a 36"x36" at 2500...

What cartridge for a one mile shoot?

I'm not terribly familiar with the 7LRM. I know it is not belted so there's that. It's not a Saami spec cartridge so a build will require a custom reamer, yada, yada. IMHO there are cartridges in the mainstream that will give you better performance without the hassel. Really, a mile is no big...

What cartridge for a one mile shoot?

You are correct. I was reading Frank's post (obviously not carefully) and thinking something completely different. I stand corrected. Ah, open mouth, carefully insert foot lol.......

What cartridge for a one mile shoot?

Frank, I hate to take issue with the commander of this outfit but for a new members 1st post, focusing the op on velocity alone seems to me to be misleading. My 22-250 shoots just under 3800fps but I wouldn't want to enter a one mile competition with it! That's what I mean. Without consideration...

What cartridge for a one mile shoot?

Certainly 338 lapua & 300WM as you mentioned . Some other considerations would be 28 nosler, 7mm/300WM, 300 Norma, 7mm/300NM, 338 Norma, 6.5 Saum (Sierra just came out with a 150 gr 6.5)., 300WSM, 300RUM, 7mm Rem mag. These come to mind right off the top of my head, there are others for sure

Plywood, good grief. Why some people want to continue pissing into the wind is beyond me lol.

Alpha vs. Accurate Short Mag Magazine Rehash

The 10 round Alpha mags are shorter and everything is very tight. You need to be more aggressive on running the bolt on that 1st round. The accurate mags have more room. Order fulfillment and customer service from Alpha mag sucks. I have both. Everything considered, I'd run Accurate mags.

$220 Toaster..... What do I need to know

Because there is a fool born every minute.....But, I got to say, it's got a defrost function, my Eggos might just taste better enough to make the price of admission worth it.....?

    Broke the LabRadar AGAIN !

Well, I forgot about the above post ha ha. I have since recanted my position about waiting for a gen II version (if indeed that EVER happens). I finally just got tired of the POI issues with the MS. Couldn't be happier with the Labradar, it hasn't missed a beat since I got it and it's been used...

    Decent Safe for under $1000

Just keep in mind that a determined thief with and angle grinder can cut thouugh a $1000 safe in 30 minutes or less and your stuff will be gone....a $1000 "gun safe" really is just a security container. It'll keep your kids and dumbass teenagers that break into your house from getting inside but...
