    Re: Does Paint Hurt the Value of a Rifle? It's all about who you are selling it to. Gunshops are usually more interested in keeping things original whereas your shooting buddies might actually apreciate a well done paint job. Most of the time however, krylon makes a rifle less desireable.

    I recently installed a RWS Muzzle Brake on my Rem 700 AAC-SD and my groupings opened up. Without brake, accuracy was about .5 to .75 MOA. With brake, it has opened up to around 1.5 MOA. The brake has been shimmed to allow proper timing. Could this be the issue or is there something else I should...

    Re: Almost made it.......... It would have worked if they installed a higher lift kit and/or skid plates, or used a vehicle with a smaller wheelbase. I bet we will see quite a few copycats in the near future and I am sure there will some that are successful.

    Re: cant get 100yard zero Bad machining? I have seen a similar problem with the Rem 7600 (trying to boresight). We tried several base-ring-scope combos and nothing worked. Turned out the reciever was out of spec.

    Re: New here. Bolt action build. Not too long ago I was in the same position and ended up settling on the Rem. 700 AAC-SD and haven't had any regrets. It has been a great starter rifle and is the only rifle that I haven't considered selling to fund other projects. Just my 2 cents.
