    Superlative Arms Adjustable Gas Block

I've used a number of AGB's with SLR being my favorite, but the simple ones like Odin's work too. My objective with them is, no matter the gas system, to use the lightest BCG, buffer weight & spring combo that give me what I want. The 1st decision is always BCG style & weight, then buffer...

White Oak barrels vs Faxon MATCH & Criterion

They will also supply Bartlien too. MM

    Superlative Arms Adjustable Gas Block

The GB, either adjustable of fixed, doesn't know what kind of spring or gas system that you have; it only sees the gas it gets & passes or doesn't according to where it's set. That amount of gas is either right or not, adjust accordingly, within the range of the AGB & rock on, MM

White Oak barrels vs Faxon MATCH & Criterion

Generally, I've also found that "good" barrels almost never are very finicky whereas not-so-good barrels are almost always much more finicky, sometimes to the point of never really finding a really good load for them. My patience with finicky barrels, whether on an AR or a bolt gun, is pretty...

    Tubbs Flat Wire Problem

Agreed on all counts. JP stuff is all good & it would be nice to get discounts of their stuff; probably half my guns have their ground & polished recoils springs, more than adequate performance, & I've use several of their bolts & a couple of BCG's. Their stainless, polished lightweight...

    Tubbs Flat Wire Problem

Agreed with the small cost of upgraded springs, & I do that on all guns............but adding a $220 SCS, isn't trivial but if someone likes it & is willing to pay for it, then rock on. But please don't piss down my neck & tell me it's raining & that if I don't do it or even upgrade to a flat...

    Tubbs Flat Wire Problem

In over 30+ builds, with all gas systems, I've never had a cycling problem.............or a spring problem, exclusively with Sprinco or JP polished springs. Not one. Ever. I wear shooting muffs...........the bang or the bang, bang, bang drowns out any potential twang from my well lubed springs...

    Tubbs Flat Wire Problem

$$$$$$$$$$$$$ There's no performance gain on the target. MM

New build choices SBR or 16-18"

This^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Avoid the cost & hassle of an SBR...........the utility of a shorter barrel on anything but a BO is just not really worth over the it over a 14.5" P&W'd. Great all around size. MM

    Tubbs Flat Wire Problem

And what tangible performance improvement does the flat wire spring bring to the table over a Sprinco or a JP standard spring? Other than reducing the somewhat imaginary "twang" some some seem to experience. MM

Does Bartlein, Kreiger, and Proof carry as much weight in the AR world as they do in precision rifle bolt-action guns?

Yet another idiotic Gucci thread.............anyone with 2 weeks on this site would surely know the answer to the silly question asked in the OP. MM

Spec my guns: How would you build a dream AR-15

Best advice ever, & not just about glass.................................just sayin'. I don't know of anyone ever buying good stuff & regretting it. MM

Basic Upper Receiver + BCG - best place to buy

+ 1 on RTB; Also AR15 Discounts, Primary Arms..................all are good sources. Pretty much any brand name upper or a branded upper from any of the above is fine. I like BCM for a basic forged upper; Vltor for a step up forged & SanTan & Cross Machine Tool for billet uppers. MM

Spec my guns: How would you build a dream AR-15

SanTan is is top-shelf IMO & one of the very best. It will make a nice base for any SPR project. MM

    Critique my build

Nice shooting...........never used a V7 barrel but everything else that I've used from them is top notch. Looks like their barrels are too. MM

    Noisy buffer spring

That's always worked for me with Sprinco springs. MM

What parts of the rifle lend themselves to accuracy?

For the Zombie's, of course...............silly question. MM

DMR 5.56 build, Finally finished it

SMK's almost never don't work but the new world 1,000 yard shooter want higher BC................sometimes they are accurate, sometimes not. And the old SMK plods on........................ Good shooting, great rifle. MM
