    I was in your exact shoes a year ago. Sitting on a long action, trying to decide which 7. Went Rem Mag throated for 180 Bergers and couldn't be happier. Get some ADG brass and you are set.

    7 Rem Mag and be done with it. It's a ballistic twin to the 7 PRC, so there is no point in rechambering the barrel. It's the OG 7mm and will do anything and everything you need a 7mm to do.

    The 200 fps or so difference in muzzle velocity between 20" and 26" gives less than 4 mils difference in drop at 1800 yards with a 215 Berger. To me that isn't an insane difference.

    300 Norma with Forster press

    I load 300 Bergers in a 338 Lapua Improved on a CoAx. So yes it's easily doable.

    FYI if you are comparing a Proof CF to a Bartlein steel barrel, the Bartlein M24 or HV is going to be much closer to the Proof Sendero contour.
