    Unless you had the barrel shortened, there would be no reason to change the crown area. If done correctly you can thread and time the break without changing that area.

    I have right at 5 years left... don’t have any idea how much more I can take though. Luckily my dept is still solid so I have that going for me. It will be a happy day when I can go back to the farm and take it over from my dad. These times are a definitely low point for all of LE.

    If the barrel is less than 16” and you want to put a stock on it, you have to make it an SBR.
