    Anyone having trouble contacting Bighorn?

Yeah same as the others, I called about a week ago and got a very helpful guy on the phone right away.

Rifle Scopes ARC M10 Rings - Torque?

Thanks guys. I went with 50 in/lbs since it's just a 6.5 Creedmoor, but consensus seems to be up to 55 in/lbs is no problem. Great looking rings and great design, easiest install I've done.

    Long action conversation

Gonna be hard to beat 7mm Mag for long action long range shooting. There may be "better" options out there, but the difference ballistically will be very small, especially if you want to deliver enough energy down range for serious long-range hunting, and you'll probably end up with more recoil.

Rifle Scopes ARC M10 Rings - Torque?

Awesome, thanks guys. Actually just got a PM from a Vortex employee who said they bought some ARC rings recently for testing out so they could answer this exact question, and that they didn't have any issues with using the recommended torque settings. Vortex customer service FTW as usual...

Rifle Scopes ARC M10 Rings - Torque?

I'm pretty sure I've read on here that the torque ARC recommends for its M10 rings is too high, but I can't seem find those posts. For the guys using those rings, what did you torque them too? I'll be using their 30mm rings on a Vortex AMG, if that makes any difference.

Hodgdon 4350 vs Norma or Vihtavuori

No clue on Norma or Vihtavuori, but for what its worth, Alliant also makes a temperature insensitive powder now that has had good results from what I've read. I just picked up a few pounds of Reloder-16 to try in my 6.5 Creedmoor since I couldn't find any H4350 either...

    6mm pill for PRS

The 6x47 and 6XC were the top two cartridges for the top PRS shooters this past year by a solid margin, but I think with Lapua making Creedmoor brass now, the 6mm Creedmoor will bump back up near the top next year...

    6mm pill for PRS

I don't think you can go wrong with any of these cartridges, but if it was me, I'd probably opt for the 6mm Creedmoor. Why? One reason - you can buy loaded Hornady ELD Match ammo for it. I prefer to reload for my rifles, but I don't like to have to reload, if that makes sense. Having...

Bushnell Legend T Series 15-45x60 FFP

Just got mine in cause of the discount. So far so good - my neighbor's house is crisp and clear

Sig Sauer 2200 Real World Reviews

Somewhat lost in this conversation is the Kilo is on the low end of the price spectrum here relative to its specs. If you really need something that can reliably range an animal at extreme distances, you probably need a Vectronix or something along those lines. I have a Kilo 2200 that I'm very...

    Rifle Scopes Lighter weight Scope

I run this same scope on my Kimber Adirondack and it's fantastic. That said, it does not have open turrets like OP wants. If you want something with a lot of zoom, the Vortex AMG seems to fit what you're looking for perfectly at 28 oz with lockable turrets.

Rifle Scopes Trijicon MRO, worth the money? How does it compare to Aimpoint?

I agree the MRO's turrets are mushy, but it's an RDS - most people use the turrets once when they install it on the rifle and that's about it. Certainly not something worth an extra $250 or so. Also agree on the tint, but there's an argument the tint provides better contrast, highlighting the...

Rifle Scopes Trijicon MRO, worth the money? How does it compare to Aimpoint?

I haven't spent a ton of time with RDS, but I really like my MRO. Really like the reduction in weight and bulk compared to the Aimpoint PRO or Comp M4, I like the ambidextrous controls, and I like the larger lens compared to the Aimpoint Micros. You'll read a lot about the very slight...

    KMW Loggerhead Install

Thanks for the responses guys. Decided to part with the Grayboe and get a chassis, but Joe was quick to respond to email and his price was very reasonable.

Rifle Scopes 1-6 or 1-8 LPV scope for a critter whacker?

Sid - Just my opinion and that of my buddy I shot them side by side with, but the glass was very comparable, with the Steiner maybe having a very slight edge to us. I preferred the Steiner's reticle for my purposes (3 Gun), my buddy preferred the Viper. The main differences were weight and...

Rifle Scopes 1-6 or 1-8 LPV scope for a critter whacker?

I hear ya. I bought both the Steiner and PST Gen II and ended up keeping the Steiner. I thought they both compared very favorably to any other LPVO I've owned or used, which includes a Meopta ZD Tactical I still own and a Kahles K16i. I'm not saying either one is as good as the Meopta or...

Rifle Scopes 1-6 or 1-8 LPV scope for a critter whacker?

If you're ok with a 4x top end, the Steiner P4Xi is hard to beat for the money, IMO. The new Viper PST Gen II 1-6x is also pretty nice and has the same illumination setup as the Razor HD. Neither is as good as the Razor but they weigh less and cost a lot less. If you've never used an ACOG...

A few questions about the 223?

Interesting. I assume that's because the polymer tip is much less dense than the actual bullet and using it in the calculator tells the calculator that the mass of the bullet is stretched out further than it really is? That makes sense to me, just never heard that before so want to make sure I...

    Masterpiece arms

Here's a good review: http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2016/08/jon-wayne-taylor/gun-review-masterpiece-arms-mpa-6-5ba-creedmoor-bolt-action-rifle/ I'm about to order one of their chassis for my new build. Al, their customer service guy on bolt actions, is really helpful.
