    Reticle question

The are so many of almost the same thing out there between the various manufacturers. I like a somewhat simple but still Christmas tree style reticle in a high power scope. I use several from Vortex.

    Ruger 1022 heavily modified

I use a Victor Titan and it is very nice but in order to get it's full functionality you need a Kidd receiver as well so you can use the rear tang on the Victor stock. Then you'll have 2 screws on the action to really lock things up.

    Action for precision 22 build

Yeah that would be funny if it were a fair comparison> the Vudoo mags are very well build and at least 1/2 the price of the Annies. The Vudoos actiually work as well. Everyone always wants to compare 1 rifle to another which is possible in the terms of generic items such as cost or accuracy...

They didn't but I'll let you know tomorrow when my mail shows up.

    School me on vertical grips

There is much more to the MPA vert. grip than just being vertical. The thumb rest and finger pad on the side offer some of the most important egos. Being able to isolate the finger pad of your trigger finger from the rest of your hand is a big deal and using your thumb and trigger finger to be...

    NRL22 barrel length?

Barrel length won't matter in NRL22. I shoot a Kidd 18" and it still seems tiny since I run a 24" in centerfire matches. It is more of a preference of looks. Get what you want and enjoy your rifle.

Usually items being resold are either because people don't like what they bought or they fall on hard times and need the money. In the case of these rifles I seriously doubt that you will find anyone that doesn't love their rifle and on point 2 the economy is up and unemployment is at a 39 year...

    School me on vertical grips

MPA vertical is mighty nice. Feels good and gives my thumb a nice rest especially when shooting positional with free recoil.

Well next week 2 of us pick up our new Vudoos. We are in the process of setting up an ELR22 match in the near future as well. In preparation for that we have purchased Lapua Center X, Midas Plus and X-Act and Eley Tenex ammo as well as the match ammo we already have, SK Rifle Match, SK Pistol...

Who here has tried top of the line ammo in their Vudoo? Lapua X-Act or Eley Tenex? If so what did you see especially compared to the mid priced ammo that these rifles have shot so well like SK Standard Plus or CCI SV? How far did you stretch out the good stuff?

Out of curiosity I just did a little search for Anschutz magazines. $60 to $80 each. I know a few guys that just bought new Anschuts rifles a few months ago. I've asked them the last few times I saw them if they were going to shot them in a match. There response was that they were still...

    Ruger Precision Rimfire

The primary selling point of the RPR was the factory chassis style system. If you chuck that then what is remaining is not worth building. If and that is a big IF changing the barrel and a few minor expense tweaks can get it to a solid 1moa rifle then maybe it's worth the cost and effort. If not...

WTF! This is apparently why I don't clean rifles...

I've been using VFG pellets for about 6 month and I love the ease of use and how well they clean. I use boretech as a solvent for them. They are perfect for a 22lr. I have tried the 30cal on my 6.5CM and like those also but I already had a good cleaning system for that.

So what is your favorite stock for your Vudoo?

I went with MPA BA Lite on both of mine. Very nice ergo and adjustability with a solid bed for the action to ride.

    Torque wrench

My Kidd 10/22 is in a Victor stock. It has a rear tang and therefor 2 action screws. The sweet spot is with 20in/lbs on the front screw and 17.5in/lbs on the rear screw. Fix It Sticks can't get me there. I also torque scope rings at 18-20in/lbs. A few other things aren't in the pre-set common...

I hear people say that they won't spend that much for a 22lr rifle but the same people spend that and more for a 6.5 Creedmoor. Would they say that they won't spend that much for a 6 Creedmoor. They are all precision rifles just different calibers of the same animal. I don't shoot 22lr for...

It is quite natural to want to get the most value for your hard earned dollars. I imagine that most of us decided to first look at what we currently owned once we decided to head down the precision 22lr road. For me my best option was a 10/22 target rifle I owned. I took it out for a solid test...

I find it interesting that in just over 1 year since its introduction the Vudoo is now the standard for ultimate accuracy in the 22lr world, or at least the non-franklinrifle world. Everywhere I go either in person or online when there is a discussion of building or buying a highly accurate...
