But I haven't really. Yes, I've found the 140's do better in my gun over the 147's but, what about the FGMM 130's or the 120gr ELDM? Just curious if others have found these to do well; especially over the heavier rounds. I don't mind buying a box of several different rounds to test but, if any...

Took my 6.5cm 24" CTR to the range for the second time yesterday. On the first trip, I put fifty rounds of Hornady American Gunner 140gr HPBT through it and another twenty rounds of Hornady 140gr ELD-M. After the first twenty rounds or so, I was right around 1/2moa for the rest of the day at...

KRG Bravo for CTR that can take TRG/CTR mags?

They know better than I what the most popular colors are but, I feel like black is the least popular based on what I see of the Bravo chassis' in the wild. Bob

I think you will be very happy with it. Bob

Getting the pulse out of your trigger finger?

I understand the perishability of the skill. My point is, after shooting for long enough, you can take a break and you still have the knowledge to assess what you are doing and make corrections until the muscle memory and pre-shot routine returns. Tangent-When a person first starts shooting...

Getting the pulse out of your trigger finger?

I think you nailed it with #2. I was loading the bipod into a rail in front of the gun. I wasn't pushing hard but, with being winded from walking up and down the range, my blood was surely pumping harder...and, I was shooting from a bench so I was against the front of the shoulder. This makes a...

Getting the pulse out of your trigger finger?

I'll give you that the comment was a bit pompous but, I was trying to avoid everyone telling me it's my fundamentals. They did anyway. I disagree. I'm not perfect but I've done enough shooting to know how to analyze my technique and identify what I might be screwing up...and that's what I did...

Getting the pulse out of your trigger finger?

I know he's got a ton of experience and I respect his opinion. I was a sniper as well and have also trained thousands of young infantrymen to shoot so I know a few things about analyzing shooting fundamentals. I would always welcome an observer to check me but, I doubt they would find much to...

Getting the pulse out of your trigger finger?

I can say with a good amount of confidence that these are not my issue. I really felt like the pulse was in my finger. I'm not young (or fit) any more and I know I was shooting with an elevated heart rate after humping down to the 200yd line and back. Hard not to range walk after 20 years of it...

Getting the pulse out of your trigger finger?

So, after doing a bit of googling and reading, it seems pulse dampening is definitely a thing. I don't know that I want to buy and wear a full blown shooting jacket but, I may look into a shoulder pad. Bob

Getting the pulse out of your trigger finger?

Could be. I've not been to the range in a couple years but, getting back into shooting. I made several trips down to the 200 yard line at a "range walk" to hang and inspect targets. I know I was getting my heart rate up and I am sure that was contributing to the problem. I was lightly loading...

Getting the pulse out of your trigger finger?

So, I can shoot pretty well. No problem holding 1/2moa if the rifle can do it. That said, I want to shoot better and the biggest thing I feel is holding me back is the pulse in my trigger finger. I become very aware of it as I watch the reticle dance left to right over my target. Obviously...

Yeah, the YoDave is cheap but, I don't think I can bring myself to pay the exorbitant shipping cost. If I need a spring I'll look elsewhere. Bob

R700 Magpul enhanced or r700 barreled action

I've been a Remington 700 guy since the day I turned in my M21 and signed out a brand new M24. I currently own three R700's. That said, there is no way I would have fun on the range with a rifle that shoots 1-2 MOA. I recommend you look at something else. I just bought a Tikka CTR and on my...

Thanks! It does have the 24" barrel. I am going to be installing my Mountain Tactical 20moa rail today and I will see what I can do with the factory trigger spring before I decide if I need a YoDave. Bob

Feeling the need for a 6.5 Creed...moor. Recommendations please.

Okay, I have to thank those who steered me toward the Tikka. Got the CTR out to the range today and am very pleased with the first outing. I did not do anything to the trigger yet and I found it to be a little bit difficult to pull without inducing some variance. I will be adjusting it down...

Got the new Tikka CTR 6.5cm out to the range today. Shot a box of Hornady 140gr ELD-M and this was the last 5-round group at 100 yards. Had a couple others just over half an inch as well. Best group at 200 yards was 1.430" with Hornady American Gunner 140gr BTHP. This was my first time shooting...

    Kestrel D3 with Hornady 4Dof??

Anyone use a Kestrel Drop D3 with the Hornady 4Dof phone app? I'm looking for a quick, accurate way of filling in the environmental data on the app. I don't need a full service meter so thinking this looks like a decent option. Just looking for feedback on how well it works. Bob

It came black. I don't know what the coating is but it does add some thickness. I've cerakoted bolts on Remingtons and they've run fine. Bob
