    My Gen 2 Razor is still going strong but thats 1 out of 5 thats been problem free. My Gen 1 Razor that was supposedly "built like a tank" went belly up after about 1500 rounds. The others were of the Viper series.

    Annealing, how much is to much?

    I've done a similar method, but with a propane torch. Haven't ever "over annealed" any cases nor have I run into split necks. While not very scientific, it seems to be working. Haven't heard of using a candle but I'd be curious if it heats the case as even or quickly as a torch.

    I think you could grind it to fit but it would probably be easier to just take material off the TRG stock so that CTR mags fit. I've got a spare TRG stock that I may try it on.

    They generally don't come on 700's. If one did, I'd be wary of quality and consider replacing it. Anything Remington uses is generally cheap.
