    Thoughts on the 2.8L Duramax?

Def does have a shelf life of about 18 months if properly sealed. Very corrosive stuff and burns your skin.

    223 semi-precision reloading frustration.

You are trying way to hard imo. Change the bullet to a 50 or 55 vmax and try some accurate 2230 or accurate 2200 or ramshot Xterminator powder. If that doesn’t work it might just be the rifle.

Reloading Equipment WTB - 22 Creedmoor Brass

I would just find some 22-250 brass or ammo and use that.

24-26 inches is a perfect length for a bolt 223.

    Thoughts on the 2.8L Duramax?

I pull a 7k trailer all the time with my 3.0. At slow speeds it will impress you. High speeds and high engine load it will suck def like crazy at the rate of 1 gallon every 175 miles. I went from Illinois to southern Utah this summer pulling 7k and not one time I felt the need for more power...

Need some advice for a 223 bolt gun build

If your looking for tight groups at short distance inside 300 yards with a fast twist barrel like a 1-7 the 55 vmax works excellent. No boat tail so it has a large bearing surface. Tiny groups.

    Thoughts on the 2.8L Duramax?

My 3.0 has done the crank and no start thing on average once every 1000 miles. Second attempt it fires right up. I would imagine it’s just a start up fault that corrects itself automatically once the flywheel goes around.

    Thoughts on the 2.8L Duramax?

I have a 3.0 and the fuel mileage is very good at 55mph. Like 33mpg good. As speed goes up and your pushing a lot more wind mileage degrades quickly. 80 mph will get you into the 24 mpg range.

Yessir works great. I’m not saying I’m right it’s just what I use. This guys talking about yard work which my tractor would not be the best for.

I operate a farm and we use a Yamaha Wolverine sxs and then a 100 hp 4 wheel drive loader tractor for our plowing and work related duties. I would never imagine something in between the two as they are so different. I guess I need to get with the times.

I would just buy a tractor if it’s for plowing.

    Thoughts on the 2.8L Duramax?

I have the 3.0 Duramax and a good friend of mine has the 2.8 liter. For your commute either one would work fine IMO.

Need some advice for a 223 bolt gun build

A keystone accuracy 223 wylde 24” 1-8 twist krieger upper threaded 5/8-24 for a self timing muzzle brake is hell on a p dog town. Personally if your set on a bolt gun go 8 twist and shoot 75 eld bullets. If your going to shoot a vmax go with the ar.

Rural Americans use the most gas….

Not very efficient when you need to run the heater or defrost. Electric heat never has been or will be energy efficient.

Rural Americans use the most gas….

A big ag tractor will burn about 32 gph under full load. It won’t matter much longer anyways since the government will control our tillage practices.
