Entry Level Build after CDG Price Bump

With Impact you get a company that has a bit more consideration for existing customers I think. ARC does some really cool stuff but that innovation can leave some customers behind sometimes, or at least it feels that way. Nucleus Gen1 vs Gen2, Mausingfield M5 vs M7, long action Mausingfields no...

Rifle Scopes What is your favorite rifle scope?

For now it's my Razor G3 6-36x56. I just had a NF 7-35 MIL-C arrive and I like the reticle more but the eyebox of the Razor is so much more forgiving. I may end up liking the NF more once I use it on my new competition-style rifle though. And the NF will be pressed into service for my 1-2...

The "Taylor was Here" Rear Bag - Answer - Compromise - Grande' - *SHIPPING*

I'll probably grab a Compromise to complete the set in a few weeks. Looking forward to the Grande in the meantime.

The "Taylor was Here" Rear Bag - Answer - Compromise - Grande' - *SHIPPING*

"Answer" received. I like it enough I just ordered a "Grande" to go with it.

    New Kahles K328i

This is kind of out of left field but do you "wet mount" your scope mounts/rings? I see Area419 and Spuhr advocate for that but not sure if that's because it's universally better or if it's specific to their rings.

Case for Leica Geovid 10x42 AB+

What will you use the bino harness for? Hunting? Competitions? The Stone Glacier Sentinel looks interesting for a hunting one, and maybe competition but I don't know what competition people want out of a harness to be honest.

Will NF design a wide angle lens?

This is a side thing but I've been wondering. In your OpticsThoughts review of those alpha scopes, your flare/tunneling results confused me a bit. Do they mean you found the RG3 to control flare better than the ATACR? And for the tunneling, I thought it's pretty agreed upon that NF ATACR scopes...

Will NF design a wide angle lens?

I think most peoples' argument for the 7-35 isn't that they need the higher magnification but that its "sweet spot" for image quality is right in the 12-18x range.

    KRG Echo Chassis

Thing that puts me off the Rokstok is no LOP shorter than 13.5" and it doesn't seem like they can do a full length ARCA rail. As much as I shit talked the grip angle I think my #1 candidate might actually be the new MDT Crbn stock if I eventually do upgrade. Side note, KRG's ARCA spigot (and...

Hunting & Fishing Post your SMK/Match bullet kills

This guy from Outdoor Life took a video of killing a moose with 22ARC shooting 88gr ELD-Ms (including photos of the damage). Some very upset people in the comments who don't understand how bullets work or kill things.

    KRG Echo Chassis

Probably the "Rokstok". I think the production was such a shitshow that they've temporarily stopped taking orders for it due to the backlog.

    S&B Klassik field use

Passed droptesting (for whatever that's worth, it's not nothing) and otherwise basically never hear about any zero shift from them. People criticize the droptesting and I'm sure it could be done better. But no one else seems to be even bothering to try outside of them.

    S&B Klassik field use

To reiterate, I don't have a dog in this fight since I don't use any of those scopes (sold a couple SHVs awhile ago). As far as retaining zero there's nothing I'm putting up against a Nightforce of any kind. However, I also realize their SHV line comes with sacrifices and wish they felt enough...

March-FX 5-42X56 HM Gen 2 with writable turrets at SHOT Show 2025 along with new concepts scopes

Got it, thank you. Once Tangent Theta lets me buy the sun shade (their website has decided that even though I bought a scope cap 3 days ago without issue, they won't ship a sun shade to me) I'll find out if it's as freakishly long as their website pictures show.

March-FX 5-42X56 HM Gen 2 with writable turrets at SHOT Show 2025 along with new concepts scopes

For low light situations such as hunting for instance, would I notice a difference in light transmission between their sun shade and their ARD?

March-FX 5-42X56 HM Gen 2 with writable turrets at SHOT Show 2025 along with new concepts scopes

Their sun shade looks ridiculously long on their website but maybe it's a bad angle. I hope it's something I can mitigate because I'm a goofy looking dumbass with a TT 5-25 arriving tomorrow.

    S&B Klassik field use

I have no experience with Element so not disagreeing but other than Maven (which is new), Nightforce and Trijicon have also been tested worldwide.

    New Kahles K328i

Possibly a lower erector ratio? 3.5-28 seems cool but wouldn't a lower ratio make the eyebox even more forgiving? I could be way off that's just how I think it works. Looking forward to seeing more of you on Velayo's channel.

SOLD Like New Sig Kilo6K 10x42 Binos

I am selling like-new Sig Kilo6K rangefinding binos (not the HDX version or whatever the new thing is). I uploaded my gun profile to it and otherwise haven't used them. They were purchased in March, 2024 so the three year warranty is still very much in effect. Nothing is wrong with them apart...
