Muzzle Threading - What are you guys paying?

I used Magnaport in MI, and highly recommend them. The thread might be more useful if you put in your location since you do not want to ship. This was you can get local recommendations. Pay for a competent gunsmith, I had one done wrong and damaged my can.

Suppressors Gunsmith for integrally supressed 77/44

It is a Boyds and free floating. It is one of the few stocks that is wide enough for the suppressed barrel. It was part of the package.

    Help ID these rings

Found these in a box in the gun room and do not remember where I got them. Seem well made. 30mm, about 1.25" high. Looking to mount a scope and are they worth using? (2.5-10 power high end scope, not for precision shooting)

Heavy bullet subsonic .357 mag for integrally suppressed rifle

Awesome finding out about the SUB-X, thanks! Stock Ruger 77/357 comes with a 1:16 twist, so can stabilize heavier bullets. With a 1:16 twist I should be able to stabilize the 250 sub x, as long as length is under 1.17" (berger bullet stability page). I emailed both Hornady for bullet length and...

Heavy bullet subsonic .357 mag for integrally suppressed rifle

Integrally suppressed my Ruger 77/357 Since I want to shoot subsonic ammo, I am looking for a heavy bullet. I hit the speed limit of ~1000 fps, so the only way to increase energy for hunting is to increase bullet weight. I read a lot online and pretty much all of the info is for revolvers. They...

Best areas to live in TX

Up to 8.5%, I pay 7.75%. 6.25% is state and municipslities can add up to 2%. Property tax is not outrageous, generally 2%, on par with other areas and less than many. My tax burden (local and state) for all taxes (income, property, sales...) is half what I paid in Michigan. On a side note, I...
