Re: SHWW Group Equipment budgets would be interesting, but then I think guys would be complaining about having to buy cheaper scopes, etc.... In a perfect world, a ammo sponsor would eliminate all guess work. 308/223 match using "XXXXX" ammo supplied by whoever. Then everyone would know...

180 grain Berger VLD's in Remington Sendero 7mm

Re: 180 grain Berger VLD's in Remington Sendero 7mm I shoot them in Rem Mags with 8.7 or 9 twist barrels. You could try them and see if they worked. At your higher elevation, you might be able to get away with it. Retumbo will be your powder of choice for sure.

Re: SHWW Group Personally, I think the 308/223 match would be an added challenge. With that being said, I know everyone doesn't own a 308 or 223, but it might bring out a new group of shooters as well. May have to alter the COF slightly, but it would be fun. No matter what the event, there...

    Range Report 6.5 X 47 Lapua Accuracy?

Re: 6.5 X 47 Lapua Accuracy? They do shoot well. Recoil is nothing at all with the 6.5 or 6 version...especially if braked or suppressed. Pretty sure Jim's group is off a bipod. Here is a group from my old one at 300 yards prone, bipod, rear bag during some rapid fire practice.

    Range Report 6.5 X 47 Lapua Accuracy?

Re: 6.5 X 47 Lapua Accuracy? It is a good case design.....although, neck it down to 6mm and a couple other little mods, and it becomes a really good case design! Be carefull with the RL15 loads. That powder is extremely temp sensitive. Have seen alot of guys at matches changing dope...

Gunsmithing Issues feeding from Seekins Mags

Re: Issues feeding from Seekins Mags One thing to try is to bend the feed lips in a little more on the front. This will keep it pushed down on the forward end of the case and may solve the problem. I have done that to a couple and it fixed it.

Re: SHWW Group Jim's rifle only has a 27" barrel also....but the Edge does have an increase over the Lapua. We run 300gr Bergers at 2950 with ours and still get really good case life. Most of the Lapua's I have built will run in the 2800-2825 range with the 300's in 30" barrels at...
