    Mrap spotted in chattanooga, tn.

Our local FBI office has a DRMO'd MRAP for their regional SWAT team. It's a fairly bullet proof vehicle for no cost up front. They are finding out that the maintenance costs are a little high. Not a whole lot of mechanics for them and parts around. It's really big, and doesn't hold very many...

When is enough $$ enough $$ for dog surgery?

Pretty much my view. I'm very attached to my animals, but I won't let them cost me so much money that I can't provide for my family.

Sidearms & Scatterguns Any revolver shooters? Show em

I only have two revolvers, but I'm a fan. I carry a Ruger LCR pretty much daily as an off-duty gun. No pics. My other is this thing I just Cerakoted myself a few months ago. I'm happy with how it turned out. Took this thing through the revolver phase of my state's firearms instructor...

Wow. News must travel slowly up in Delaware. OP feels terrible. Image what he'll feel like reading though all the news over the last 4 years. ;)

Sidearms & Scatterguns what is your other concealed carry?

I switch between a kahr cw9 and a ruger lcr, depending on my mode of dress. I can shoot 100% on the timed duty pistol course for our state with the Kahr, and pretty close with the Ruger.

    Rifle Scopes Measuring Optical Clarity

Any chance you could post a link to a colored chart? I'm curious now in the differences of the few scopes we have.

Rifle Scopes Vortex PST or Leupold VX-R Patrol

I have never used a Viper PST other than firing maybe 20 rounds out of a friend's rifle with it, but have a VX-R patrol. I like it overall, but there are a few weaknesses. The turrets move very easily. Too easily. They are easy to knock off your zero when you don't intend to. They drag on...

Night Vision PEQ-15 light saber battle

I'm going to ask you again to explain "it" to me. It sounds like that if I disagree with you, I don't get "it." Or if I call you out for whining, I don't get "it." The restrictions on IR lasers are just on the output or intensity of them, because they are dangerous to the eye, and you can't...

Night Vision PEQ-15 light saber battle

Exactly what I would expect from a whiney bitch. I can drink just fine, and you don't have anything to say other that your complaining. BTW - my 15-year old son watched this and laughed. He thought the video was great. Know why? He has a sense of humor, and isn't a whiney bitch. He...

Night Vision PEQ-15 light saber battle

You know, some of you sound like whiney little bitches. Some guys are out fighting a war, are blowing off steam, and you just bitch about how you can't get military gear. Well, go join up, get deployed to whereever they are out risking their lives, and you can do stupid shit with the tax...

    Swat snipers-average distance to target

The only matches close to where I work are across-the-course highpower, and f-class. For the snipers on our team, the high power would be great, but the way our rifles are set up would be no-go (optics). F-class I think would be good, and I've shot a few matches just for trigger time. But...

    Swat snipers-average distance to target

The ASA studies are not anything new. Not all agencies participate in the study, but it is still very good info. I do know a letter agency sniper who 10-ringed someone at just over 210. I know a couple of others who have made shots well under 50. Averages really don't mean anything...

    Drag bag or Eberlestock bag??

Eberlestock from ceylonc. We have stacks of eagle drag bags that nobody uses anymore since we went tp the G2 and lowdrag (I think that's what they're called). Unles you are doing a lot of crawling on your belly (which I avoid at all cost), the eberlestock is much more convenient. Just don't...

Sidearms & Scatterguns I finally did it - Cerakoted my Mod 66

Thanks for the compliments. The more I play with it, the happier I am with it. Oddly, still haven't taken it to the range . . . . been too busy at the range to play with personal toys. I'm sure I'll be able to clean the PPC course with it now that it has new colors . . . . . Since we're at...

Sidearms & Scatterguns I finally did it - Cerakoted my Mod 66

I have a "no-dash" Model 66 that I've had for around 10 years I'd guess. It's been the "nightstand gun". It's been to a couple of revolver-specific shooting schools, but other than that, hasn't exactly seen hard use. When I got it, it wasn't new by any stretch. Now - I don't like shiny...
