Suppressors Talk me out of a K can

Regarding handling and feel: Both length and weight matter. On my Turbo K there is a noticeable "swing weight" difference just going from the standard QD mount to the Kurz mount. The difference is only ~1 oz and 5/8" but it's very noticeable. Going to the DT mount is ~6 oz and 3/4" and it...

Suppressors Talk me out of a K can

It's crazy that some people can't fathom another person having different priorities. To summarize: -A K can will not be as quiet as a full size -A K can will be quieter than an unsuppressed rifle -Port pop on ARs is loud regardless of what can you use If the size and weight are important to...

Suppressors Talk me out of a K can

I just switched to the Kurz QD mount but haven't tested outdoors yet. I have used the DT on a 16" barrel. There wasnt a noticeable difference on the 16" between DT and QD. The DT mount is a lot lighter than QD and completely changes the handling. Makes me tempted to use A419 mounts. I...

Suppressors Talk me out of a K can

I use a Turbo K on a 12.5. zero regrets. All cans are loud on 5.56. I've been able to do a side by side comparison with the Turbo K and DA nomad on a 10.5 and 12.5 AR. The Turbo is marginally louder, but it's down range noise. If you're near a structure you'll hear the noise bounce back...

Is there an ETA on the new 1-8?

    Rifle Scopes Fixed power scopes.

The Ultra Light with Mil Quad would be great. For some reason SWFA doesn't want my money.

Rifle Scopes Bushnell 1x-6.5x SMRS pro and non pro why the hate?

At the $500-600 blow out price they were a good deal. At the $1k+ price they didn't bring anything to the table. I have an FDE Pro and like it for what it is, but I'm tempted to sell it for a Delta Stryker or Credo HX

Sidearms & Scatterguns AIWB guys, need your input

On long drives my wallet in my back pocket is more annoying than an AIWB Glock 19

Why do we love the MK12 so much?

No. It's a Burris FF3 in their 30mm mount. The top of the red dot body is planar with the top of the turret. As soon as you can peak over the top of the turret you can see the dot. ETA: the view through the dot for anyone interested.

Why do we love the MK12 so much?

I'm a fan of the 32mm. Although mine is the plain Mil Dot. Kinda wish I could get a MD 2.0, but I didn't like the Mil-R at 10X so I went with the Mil Dot.

Sidearms & Scatterguns AIWB guys, need your input

Mastermind tactics sells an AIWB pillow (AKA junk pillow) if interested. Pillows aren't for everyone. As I lost weight (going from 210 to 165) I found I needed as little volume as possible in the holster. https://www.mastermindtactics.com/shop?category=Wedges In general Mastermind makes some...

    .22 Rimfire Squirrel Rifles

Cz 452 with form 1 can. Weaver 3-10 Mil Dot. Usually fed with Eley SSHP. Our season runs from mid August to end of Feb. I usually wait till it cools down, and then until I take 1-2 deer. After that I only hunt squirrels.

How far would you shoot with a 2.5-10 power scope ?

In good conditions the NSX 2.5-10 had worked well for me out to ~800 yards. It's mounted on a 16" AR and that's the absolute limit of that rifle/cartridge for me. The biggest limitation has been the simple mil dot reticle. 1 mil is pretty coarse and makes holding for wind challenging past 500...

How far would you shoot with a 2.5-10 power scope ?

This is looking through an NXS 2.5-10x32. silhouettes were larger than IPSC. The one 2mil left of center is ~800 yards IIRC, and the car is well over 1000.

    Driving gas guns

I have a fraction of the experience of a lot of dudes here, but I've found using a sling pretty helpful on a gas gun. Even a regular old 2 point quick adjust. If you really cinch it down when getting in position it'll naturally drive you and the rifle together. I've found this particularly...

    Best Suppressor 11.5 AR Pistol?

I'm using a Turbo K on a 12.5 5.56 and it's fantastic. Light weight, durable, and surprisingly effective for the size. The Turbo K is short enough that my 12.5 is still an inch shorter than my 16" carbine with a 3 port brake

600 yds 14.5” ar? 10k Run and Gun

I'm sure it's intended to be a surprise. Things I've seen at other events: - Wall climbs(anything from 6-9 ft high) - large a-frame ladder climbs - low crawls - slack line crossing - assorted obstacle courses (over, under, through, etc) - water crossings (could be knee deep or you can't touch...

600 yds 14.5” ar? 10k Run and Gun

Sounds like you're close to ready. The course is very hilly, and it will be more difficult than just running. Guaranteed you'll be climbing walls, doing low crawls, and other obstacles along the way. One other thing to keep in mind is the duration of the event. You might get stuck waiting...

600 yds 14.5” ar? 10k Run and Gun

Are you in GA? RBGC had a monthly "hunter rifle sight in" event that lets you shoot out to 600 yards and is open to the public. They alternate between a 200/300/600 high-power range and a metric steel silhouette range. Either would be good for you to get dialed in. I'm assuming this is your...
