Best Vehicle for Precision Rifle Guys?

Diesel is also far more sensitive to fuel quality than gasoline engines are due to the higher compression

    KRG Bravo Chassis

What I had to do after wondering just what you did, was to remove the forend skin and dremel the rear part of it down. It was running into the stock skin and wouldn't let me get the mag fit as tight as I wanted. Aesthetically there is more of a gap but its a chassis so I don't really care

Greatest Bolt Action Battle Rifle in History...

So faster cycling and higher mag capacity are not significant for a combat rifle? The magazine's really not very exposed, it barely hangs below the trigger guard. You're also ignoring the fact that the heavily tapered .303 casing extracts much easier than its contemporaries with straighter...

Fieldcraft Are chassis systems being used in operations?

Do you consider a Colt 6920 a chassis rifle?

Fieldcraft Are chassis systems being used in operations?

I can maybe see you saying that about the SASR...but not the M110

    Custom Rifle Build Chassis poll

I prefer the hook on the bottom of the stock. More controllable with my off hand

Best Vehicle for Precision Rifle Guys?

Yeah as long as you get out on the highway for a good amount of time and/or load it like it was meant to be you'll be fine, but just doing 3 mile drives week after week would be pretty rough on it. Like you said, the best option for the engine and reliability's sake is to just remove all that shit

Best Vehicle for Precision Rifle Guys?

Agreed, the only reason I'm not over 100,000 miles on my truck after 5 years is because I spent 14 months of that deployed. My wife's SUV has about 40,000 miles and its 2 years old. There's a lot of maintenance you can do for the cost of even a very cheap car. I definitely wouldn't be doing a 3...

    Custom Rifle Build Chassis poll

"Chassis" is kind of a wide ranging term; all it means is there is a spine to which different parts can be attached to configure it-really not much different from a full length bedding block. You also get more adjustability than most stocks have. I think KRG nailed it with the Bravo, you get...

M16A4 Can someone 'splainame what the issue really is?

Yep. If I had a dollar for every time someone said it was the Geneva convention and implied that's why we use FMJ I could retire

Until your head gasket walks at 10,000 miles. Weird that so many were surprised by that, its 350 hp out of 2.3L, that's very high strung

Rifle Scopes Duracoat on a riflescope = problems?

Did you coat it on the rifle? If not the coating could have turned the 34mm tube (or whatever it is) into a 34.5mm tube if that makes sense

I got the spigot with mine (regular, not ARCA) so I got the QD plate for it. This one: https://kineticresearchgroup.com/product/qd-sling-plate/ If you don't want a Spigot, this is a good option that fits the M-lok slots at the front: https://www.magpul.com/products/m-lok-qd-sling-mount FWIW...

    KRG Bravo Chassis

I was referring to magazine patterns, not manufacturers of a given pattern. I also use the Accurate Mag AICS mags without the plate in my Tikka. Absolutely fantastic mags, I don't see myself switching either. I bundled them with my chassis and mil discount and got a real good deal on everything

M16A4 Can someone 'splainame what the issue really is?

IMHO the M-16 stock is too long even when not wearing armor. LOP is definitely an area where the AK beats the M-16-and I'm not talking about those stupid NATO and Intermediate length stocks they sometimes come with

Atlas this, Harris that, but what about...

I'm 5'8" 165 lbs. When prone I use it at the 9" setting but any lower and I'd be rolling it up onto my shoulder like Frank talks about in the podcast when he's going over good prone form. Definitely not because I have a gut though. I do shoot off bags on a bench because the S-LM is too tall at...

    KRG Bravo Chassis

Accuracy International has different types of magazines. There is the AICS, which is a stagger stack single feed that is easily adaptable to almost any bolt action because with the right bottom metal and inlet it can work with single or double stack action designs. The downside is mags are a...
