Fieldcraft Are chassis systems being used in operations?

Of the 3 we use, the SASR can't really be put in a chassis, nor can the M110, but the M40A6 that we went to a while back is. In fact, that's really the difference between the A5 and A6. I am not sure what chassis the M40A6 uses

M16A4 Can someone 'splainame what the issue really is?

You're way behind; the M16 to M4 transition was years ago, we are in the midst of the PMAG transition now and the M4 to M27 rollout will be here before too long. Personally I wish they'd at least reposition the godawful AR charging handle while they're rolling out a new weapon-left or right...

Atlas this, Harris that, but what about...

I don't understand how so many of you guys (who have a Harris) are shooting off S-BRMs; they are useless for anything but shooting off a bench or at a downward angle on anything shorter than the tallest setting. The S-LM is where its at

Anyone use the KRG Harris Direct mount?

Ah that makes sense. Do prefer one or the other?

    Tikka T3 Thread

Those are all the pics I took of it so far; my wife's SUV is in the way of the gun safe so I'll try and get some more, but I think the KRG website has some good pics that explain it: https://kineticresearchgroup.com/product/harris-mount/ Basically the same rod that you remove the knurled nut...

    Harris - which adapter setup??

Yeah seriously its 2018, they should be offering picatinny adapters from the factory. I direct mounted my bipod today with the KRG setup, it is just bolted to the spigot, not on a picatinny or ARCA rail...

Anyone use the KRG Harris Direct mount?

You use the wide mount to attach the Harris to the ARCA clamp? Any pics of the setup?

    Tikka T3 Thread

Reconfigured my bipod setup today to a swivel 9-13" on a direct spigot with pod-loc: http://www.snipershide.com/shooting/threads/anyone-use-the-krg-harris-direct-mount.6890606/

Anyone use the KRG Harris Direct mount?

Mount arrived today from KRG so I got it installed along with the Pod-loc. Only hitch was that the forend skin on my chassis was just low enough to prevent the bipod from sliding into the mount so I had to remove the forend to get it installed. I also took the opportunity to dremel down the...

    Harris vs Atlas?

There are quite a few bipods that look like the Harris, but its one of those things where you can tell which is which if you have one in each hand. The Harris is the best quality

    Tikka T3 Thread

The original Tikka stock to me is more of a hunting type stock. The cheek riser has enough height for most 3-9X40s and the swept wrist is more comfortable for shooting standing or kneeling. I shot mine for years off a bipod with the original stock so I wouldn't be concerned with that at all...

    Harris - which adapter setup??

If I were going to rail mount a Harris I'd go with this: http://8541tactical.com/2013/10/17/alamo-four-star-dloc-s-bipod-upgrade/ It removes the stud mount carriage from the bipod so it doesn't add unnecessary height like the ones that are basically a sling stud that mounts to a pic rail.

    Harris vs Atlas?

I really don't like QD adapters for the Harris because they add height and at the end of the day the stud mount is still used, just the bipod is mounted to the stud on the adapter and adds a fair amount of height. I like the one you posted, that one makes sense and is really what Harris should...

    Harris vs Atlas?

Pretty sure the Magpul isn't out yet, but I am sure that there will be plenty of threads on it as soon as it is. The pinching issue is another reason I wear a glove on my hand when I shoot

    Tikka T3 Thread

To add to this, there are a couple guys who are running KRG chassis-to include Bravos-and had them inletted to work with CTR mags. You just need to find a gunsmith to do it, and then swap in the TRG mag catch instead of the AICS one it comes with. My Tikka isn't a CTR so it came with the skinny...

Rifle Scopes Does Vortex PST Gen 2 ffp 5 ×25 have issues breaking ?

I had the same thing going through my mind as I was looking heavily at the G2 PSTs; I ended up just splurging for a G1 Razor HD, but a lot of what helped with that decision was the insane 36 MRAD/125 MOA of adjustment afforded by the 35mm tube. Hope you like Seekins rings though, because 35mm...

Absolutely gorgeous setup! I may need to get in on the next Sterk run for one of those TRG shrouds. Is that a TRG bipod?

    Tikka T1X

Jeez, this still isn't out? We still need to confirm if the bottom metal will be an issue since we know it'll drop into Tikka inlets. Still need to confirm a Tikka rail will the holes on the receiver. Anyone know if bolt handles for a T3 will interchange. Looks like no along with shrouds

After spending all that money do you wish...

I think it depends on what you shoot. For the guys shooting Remingtons and 700 based custom and semicustom actions I think its a good option. It allows for some parts interchangeability so if you say, have a centerfire 700 and want to upgrade to a Whiskey-3 from a Bravo chassis or whatever, you...

Help deciding on a mount and scope level

Most QD setups will have some minimal POI shift. On an Aimpoint its not an issue but I wouldn't use a QD on a precision rifle. Most of the issues are with removing and reattaching, but if you're not going to remove it then why are you getting a QD mount? FWIW I prefer the ADM mount for stuff...
