    Howa mini action Chassis options..

Yeah I have one of the 16” 300blk remingtons and it’s fun shooting subs but that’s about it. Grendel would definitely be my pick and more versatile. The Hornady Black ammo is cheap and stupid accurate in every gun I’ve run it in. Sometimes it’s nice to toss them in the truck and just go shoot...

    This Ruger Predator will shoot

Mine flings the 147 factory load tighter than my RPR. such a shame they use such garbage stocks and mags from the factory. It’s sitting in the back of the safe until I can put it in an LSS

    Howa mini action Chassis options..

The heavy barrel sits in a Brownells chassis and is easily a half minute with Hornady Black 123 eld ammo for 3 shots and damn close with 5. Howa’s Heavy contour is akin to a Bartlein 3. 22” sporter remains unfired and the 20” sporter in unbedded McMillan is a solid 1moa gun for 3 shots with...

    Howa mini action Chassis options..

I love my three from the last sale. The Grendel’s are skookum. The heavy barrel isn’t really that heavy and would be my pick.

    ORIGIN Orders

Sure don’t but it truly fits like it was made for the origin. Probably less variation in the outside dimension of any bighorn action and a Remington 700 footprint than between Remington 700’s. The AG composite stocks all have AMPLE room for just about anything. The origin bolt release won’t...

    ORIGIN Orders

I had mine in an MPA with a PVA heavy Palma. Fit no sweat. Dropped right into an A5 remmy 700 inlet with only minor filing of the bolt handle opening. I don’t bother with the ejection port. It doesn’t affect function whatsoever. WAYYYY less inletting of the bolt handle than a TL3 or...

What Barloc type to go with Archimedes or Nucleus

I went with barrel nut version. For me..it doesn’t make swapping barrels any easier or faster. You may also have to open up stock inletting for the Barloc. I mainly used it to get me going while I waited for the action wrench to be released for the Nucleus.

American Rifle Company New Archimedes Action, New Xylo Chassis, and major Mausingfield revision

I’m going to hazard a semi educated guess that the mechanical advantage supplied by the handle and pivot provide enough leverage that the force exerted is wayyy less than the force required for primary extraction on your typical cammed bolt action or Ted wouldn’t have jacked around with it. AND...

American Rifle Company New Archimedes Action, New Xylo Chassis, and major Mausingfield revision

West Virginia lol.....but a huge fan of James Caan in El Dorado. I spelled it that way once upon a time and spell check still insists it’s a nucreus. Thank you for clearing that up. I was hoping that was a misunderstanding on my part when I read Ted’s post. Hope I didn’t muddy the waters for...

American Rifle Company New Archimedes Action, New Xylo Chassis, and major Mausingfield revision

It is also mentioned in Teds post that Mausingfield gets the Nucreus bolt stop....the one revision I wish it didn’t get. I’m sure it’s hella stronger but it looks like a third fucking hairy nipple. Glad I got one of LRI’s M5’s Just wish I’d picked up a long action too when I did.

Am I the only one that thinks of this guy when he hears Archimedes?

American Rifle Company New Archimedes Action, New Xylo Chassis, and major Mausingfield revision

I too have been thinking about an impact and was going to pull the trigger for this years build but decided to wait for SHOT. Glad I did. I’d still like an Impact but the ability to run Savage type prefits is a MAJOR plus for me to choose a Bighorn or ARC over an impact.....yesssss there are...

American Rifle Company New Archimedes Action, New Xylo Chassis, and major Mausingfield revision

I’ve only run Trigger Tech in my Nucleus. I have about 300 rounds down mine with a Special. I only notice the bump when I’m pissing around with it on the bench. I just dropped a Diamond in it from the Black Friday sale and I really don’t notice it at all now. People have REALLY blown this issue...

Bighorn tl3 and Calvin elite light primer strikes?

Triggertechs have proven to be the most trouble free with any custom action I’ve seen posted. I have them on Nucleus, TL3, Origin, Mausingfield and stock Remmy and don’t have the first problem. Special and Diamond.

American Rifle Company New Archimedes Action, New Xylo Chassis, and major Mausingfield revision

ARC needs to bring a toothbrush to market so some of you guys can scrub the sand out of your vaginas. I don’t know of too many small companies that can become as vertically integrated in the time they have to keep up with demand. Were there bumps.....yep....and Ted and co. made the changes...

Borden Super Short 6 Action introduction

so Completely proprietary mags only or will there be kits to modify existing AICS mags? Would the action cut out preclude running a BDL setup? Sitting on a #3 contour Hawk Hill that wants to be a lightish weight hunting build.

Does anyone know what kind or type of paint Manners uses on their stocks?

I like the extra carbon showing as well but on this PRS there’s a light tan under the black I don’t like. Idk if it was originally tan or what. I’ll just let it continue to chip and hopefully end up with an all carbon stock someday.

Does anyone know what kind or type of paint Manners uses on their stocks?

Epoxy is like dogshit....one little smear and it’ll go everywhere you don’t want it. My molded in Camo Manners and Elites have never lost a bit of color. I just got a black painted PRS off their specials page and it has chipped like a mofo around any sharp edges.

My turn for an annoying "which action" thread

I have two TL3’s, an Origin, and a Nucleus. My origin runs as smooth as either of the tl3’s. Matter of fact it is WAY smoother than one of them. They have not been dlc’d As of yet. The Nucleus runs just as smooth and there is minimal bump onclose and I have one of the first ones out the door...
